  1. WHO CARES ABOUT DENTAL. WE ARE STARVING SMH

  2. The grocery costs thing – The grocery chains literally do make 3% – 4 % profit and so what? Imagine a person running a business with a mullion dollars in sales – this works out to $40,000 profit. Anyone out there care to start such a business?

    1. Lol you literally took his word for it and I bet you forgot about him being found guilty of price fixing in the past

    2. I find this hard to believe. for anyone who shops at different stores it’s obvious that the mark up at any Loblaws store is much more than 4 percent. They are charging double for some items compared to Giant Tiger and some independent grocery stores. Just look at what they are charging for cooking oil…11.99 when you can buy it at Tiger for 5.49 and my corner grocery for 6.49

And in all cases it has gone up and if you ask any farmer they will tell you the price increase is due to gas taxes and higher interest rates. The farmers aren’t getting any more for their crops, but their expenses have also gone up so they’re going to need some relief or they may just decide not to grow this year.

    1. We need to outlaw the big corporations of our food supplies. Go back to lil😊 markets that compete for business

    2. We don’t have a coalition it’s a confidence and supply agreement. There’s a big difference between a coalition and confidence and supply agreement.

  3. I am not so sure our grocery CEOs run food cartels. We need increased wages for employees who earn minimum wage across the board.

  4. I find it amusing that the DNP is the only party calling for action. Pierre is silent on this so I guess at the end of the day he’s not for all Canadians.

  5. The payment of 12 million to Loblaw should be a strong indicator of which side this government falls on.

  6. Provinces already offered help for dental to low income families, the amount the feds give won’t even cover a cavity πŸ™„

  7. This headline is not humorous any sense whatsoever!

Whoever came up with this headline deserves to be fired – like right after they get decked in the mouth!

  8. this government created inflation with their gas tax and their fertilizer tax. Then they hit homeowners with increased interest rates…they say it’s to cool inflation but the way it does that…supposedly…is by reducing the amount that businesses and households can spend.

But this is totally neglecting the fact that businesses consider interest an expense so they have to increase prices to recoup their losses. so yes increasing interest rates can increase inflation, but it also increases inflation.

    1. now this is very definitely an extremist mindset. inflation is worldwide and can mostly be blamed on corporate greed through the pandemic and recently
