Nevada debate a disaster for Bloomberg, CNN political experts say

Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg made his debut on the Democratic debate stage and it did not go well. CNN's Van Jones called his performance a disaster while Gloria Borger said he was awful in the debate.

  1. Bloomberg gave the message to the debaters “I can own you” . To the audience – I can buy you. To CNN audience I can bore you. He could have been replaced by a briefcase of cash.

  2. Mike Bloomberg need to just drop out after last night it’s no way in hell he winning this thing after last night punishment.

    1. Why would he drop out if he’s already spent 0.8% of his 60 billion dollar fortune.
That would be nearly as bad as Trump losing 900 million dollars in a year.
Not a very smart decision for a “businessman”.
He’ll stay in the race and continue to waste more money that could be better spent elsewhere.

    1. Dems are corrupt, CNN is fake news for left wing propaganda goblins stuck in the safe space echo chamber. Dems are panicking ! CNN quote; Barr is going to resign. Another nothing burger from CNN. . . Endless propaganda from CNN makes for great comedy entertainment !

    2. @Bubbles CNN is Fox News for liberals…the left wingers in this country see the corporate owned media outlet for what it is, please stop equating us leftists to those shitty liberal gun-grabbing centrists and right wingers, we are not in even in the same ball park.

    3. @Justin Gates have you ever watched fox news? nothing even comes close to the lying and biases of fox news…..nothing.

    4. @Justin Gates This is a centrist channel for corporate loving media dummies where stupid trolls like you come to prove what a knuckle-draggers they are.

    1. @Sheryl Ferraro It’s a 4D chess move for media coverage. He might even look at the problems with the network and fix them. Who knows? Yang is clever

    2. @Sheryl Ferraro Yang needs to get in front of the people for name recognition as that was his issue. Especially getting in front of the older audience will be very important for 2024. Hopefully his big announcement in 2-6 weeks is more in line of getting his policies passed or accepted by the public.
edit: plus CNN was waaaaay better to Andrew than MSNBC was.

    3. ‘The vast majority of people who work in media are on the left.

Anyone who has watched their coverage of Trump over the last few years knows this. They are not even trying to hide it anymore.

But the truth is more shocking than you know.

Most of these people are further left than Bernie Sanders, the most far left political figure of our time.

    1. Yes can we also get to know them and that famed DNC office with all the steering office workers I hear.

    1. Charles Styron, lol, did I say anything about the “freedom dividends?” Nope, I didn’t and that’s not all Yang is about if you ever took the time to listen to him talk. He’s not a career politician, he’s a tech guy and understands the direction technology is going, unlike the dinosaurs in Congress who don’t even understand what block chain is or how WhatsApp works, lol.

    2. I’m a Bernie supporter and I love Yang too. I will DEFINITELY volunteer for Yang if he runs for Congress or anything in the future including President.

    3. Nah, Congress wouldn’t suit Yang. I think he should run for Governor of a small state and try to work on implementing UBI of the state he is Governor of.
Then if he can prove to people it works well, try again for the Presidency to do it on a national level.

    1. if the decision to bring yang on was a disingenuous “diversity hire,” that doesn’t mean that yang himself is not a competent and intelligent person with a unique perspective on this primary race. through his candidacy he ignited important conversations about the decay of industrial america and the middle class, as well as introducing concepts like the Universal Basic Income to the mainstream.

and also welcome to america ya ding dongs. losing a presidential election comes with all sorts of consolation prizes- book deals, consultancies, speaking gigs, cabinet positions etc…

  3. US Media on 2016: we apologize for paying an unprepared-billionaire-who-performed-poorly so much attention that we set up a platform for him which eventually led to his presidency.

US Media on 2020: omahgawd, did you hear what Bloomberg did now? he is such an unprepared-billionaire-who-performed-poorly.

    1. @awesomeojoe123 As an ideology, communism is generally regarded as hard-left, making fewer concessions to market capitalism and electoral democracy than do most forms of socialism. Taking someone’s money and giving it to someone else that didn’t earn it is definitely communist.

    2. The meats not as juicy with Bloomberg. Trump would give the media meat all the time and perpetuate the media cycle.

    3. @Bobby Harper communism is the abolition of all private property. Socialism is when the workers own their means of production. In other words you’re either a troll or an idiot.

    4. @NBA Yung Goat The US Communist party says. ”
So abolition of private property doesn’t mean that someone comes to your house with a bag and a gun and collects your jewelry, or whatever.   Abolition of private property means stripping billionaire investors of the ability to get rich from our labor (and taking away their political power, as well)–just like the abolition of slavery was the abolition of private property in human beings.” Sounds familiar.

    5. @Bobby Harper So is Canada communist because they use taxes to provide healthcare to everyone? Is the USA already communist because they use taxes to pay for food stamps? Like there’s virtually no difference between that and the Soviet Union?

    1. He Will chick you with his chain on the way down. Good residence Yang and his free money buying votes like Democrats on walgate

    2. Yang was awesome. I was just learning about Democracy dollars which sounded great. He’ll be a part of the administration….I hope.

  4. Absolutely depressing to have Andrew Yang on the panel – when he should have been on that debate stage. Our process is seriously corrupt when Bloomberg can buy his way onto that stage and Yang’s campaign ran out of steam.
