New OSHA Rules Could Help Save Workers From Covid Where Some Governors Have Given Up | Rachel Maddow
Yes… OSHA LOL. I’ve been in the service industry for longer than I can remember, no businesses follow OSHA standards ever. Welcome to America LOL
Every place I’ve worked enforces OSHA when they’re coming to visit. We did end up having to install Lockout/Tagout devices though, and we shut down a whole department of the factory so they can’t test the air quality there. Plus everyone in that department that’s been working with the isophorone is a little “off”

@FEATURE FILMS nah, said that at the start of all this when it was believed it transmitted by contact, not airborne, at that time trump knew it was airborne and kept that information to himself as he wanted to play it down while saying it would go away and that it was a hoax. Repeating something that is clearly inaccurate and 15 months out of date is totally irresponsible. You should be ashamed of yourself.
@Niel Thomas trump hasn’t worked a day in his life, did nothing for the last sixty days of his presidency except try to reverse the result of a free and fair election. Biden isn’t even trying to take credit for the vaccine, but he should get credit for a plan to get the doses to the people who want the. It’s the researchers and scientist who should get the credit. And seriously, who cares if trump or Biden gets the credit if it can get America back to normal or something close to it.

Look at countries where they threat to the population and economy was taken seriously, Australia had a football game last night with 49,000 people in a stadium, because they did what the health officials said, endured a 100 plus days in lock down. Meanwhile, in America, there are stupid people getting Insta famous going into shops and then having a fit when told they won’t be served if the don’t wear a mask, it infringes on their personal rights and freedoms, often, the needs of the many are more important, especially the poor staff who have to deal with these people for what, about $8 an hour?
This is the “war on covid”. It follows a similar pattern to the war on drugs and war on terror. The ulterior motives for these wars are a crackdown on civil liberties and further enrichment and empowerment for the ruling class
Florida stopped mask mandates and business restrictions months ago and they have been fine. Sweden never did any lockdowns or masks. North Dakota passed a bill banning mask mandates stating, “our state is not a prison camp”. But yet the federal government, CDC and media keep promoting the “war on covid”.
Pop star Pitbull admits covid is a h-0-a-x to bring in communism on YouTube. His family fled communism in Cuba. Elon Musk made similar comments and explains how hospitals are labeling other deaths as covid deaths to receive government stimulus.
And the government is working with big tech to censor anyone online against the covid agenda. And label anything against the agenda “disinformation”.
Only 15 days to flatten the curve, remember? See where this is going now?

The company I work for already does that we wear mask in the offices when we are near each other we don’t need the government getting involved in everything

Actually creating a “positive pressure environment” is an existing standard for not using PPE. So engineering controls are also a way to protect both in-studio reporters and staff. OSHA would allow for that situation. So your comment is ill informed, and I am not surprised.
BTW I have noticed more “in-the-field” reporters not removing their masks while on camera, and that is a good thing to see.

@Motley Badger you might want to be careful who’s comment you call “ill informed” if you’re going to talk ridiculous rubbish like that! A “positive pressure environment” is what’s used in a jumping castle, constantly pumping more air into the area, so that air can constantly pour out of all the holes while there’s still fresh air inside. It’s an awesome way to aerosolise & spread any covid particles present.
I’m guessing you were probably trying to refer to a NEGATIVE pressure environment, which is what is used in hospital rooms nursing covid patients, they set up an intake fan & filter, which constantly pulls air into the room from hallways & all other surroundings, pushes it through hepa filters & then blows it outside after filtration, meaning the virus doesn’t escape the room into the hallway etc. It does NOT replace PPE though & is NOT used outside hospitals & specialist quarantine facilities, certainly not used in a studio! Studios use testing & 6 foot distance & masks on non-camera personnel.

@spacetoast7 Also – you forgot the other part of the guideline – You can gather indoors with unvaccinated people from one other household (for example, visiting with relatives who all live together) without masks, unless any of those people or anyone they live with has an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
