No he isn’t… the scrutiny is manufactured. Ask any person that is educated on the bill and it’s recent amendments if they think he is out of line and what their opinion is. I am willing to bet my $26 carbon tax rebate that they are on his side.

The liberals have created this mess with stricter measures for law abiding citizens and weaker punishments for criminals. @Jim Davison This depends on how statistics are presented Jim. According to Stats Can a gun was used in only 2.8% of all violent crime – 2020.
Where a firearm was present victims were less likely to be injured than when one was not.The accused in a firearm related crime were more frequently strangers to the victim.
This is a political move, not about public safety.

It’s not controversial to me. The CCFR don’t do anything wrong. If a guy says he has an outdoor hobby, and it’s legal and licensed by the governments, and he wants to continue to enjoy it, why is this an issue at all?

There will never be 0 murders by firearms in Canada no matter what laws there are. We already have much stricter gun laws than there was 33 years ago. No firearm can have more than 5 rounds in a clip. We are not American ( mass shootings every week) so stop treating Canadians legal firearms owners like we are criminals! Taxpayers money should be used to stop illegal firearms not criminalizing legal ones!

Thank you, Carey, for standing up and saying what you believe in. We should never be criticized or critiqued for saying what we truly believe in our hearts. All Canadians need to stand up to Trudeau and his tyrannical liberal government. Leave our guns alone! Go after the real problem. Trudeau is stupid to think this will change anything in the crime rates and shootings. Well, maybe more unarmed civilians without the ability to protect themselves.
