These cloth masks been proven time and time again it doesn’t stop it unless you follow the 6ft rule and wash. Studies showed that the people w/o masks vs those masks were just as likely to get the virus because it is airborne.

You must obey the rules also when nobody controls. In cities like LA there surely are many young people who try to sneak away for partying or simply meeting friend. THey won`t get ill but finally people in their hood will and things like that happen. And with a huge part of Americans still believing masks are a political sign, you even in a blue state have difficulties to bring your numbers down. At these anti-maskers I really point my finger, there you are right!
And NY – they had living hell on earth. They had war-zone. To me it still is a miracle that they fought that pandemic with such view deaths: You mustn`t forget they started totally unprepared from scratch. They didn`t know anything about the virus and the treatment of Covid patient.
The feds were responsible for the organizing PPE from abroad. But they let the states compete each other over the small storage of PPE. The Republican governer of Maryland had to fly over personnally to South Korea to organize PPE from them, thanks to his wife! The feds abandoned the states in many regards. And then they also refused to fund the states of which they get all their tax money?

Point is, many states did a good job – when they left politics and got to work, there is no blus or red, the virus kills reagdless of political color, These states did best who ignored politics for a while.

In the beginning it was 95%. You must calculate the deaths and the ones who survived. And even 2% of a population like the USA fills your hospitals in an eye blink if you don`t slow the infection rate down.
Trump achieved nothing in North Korea. And what new sanction did he put in place which not already were in place? No, he only got nice fotos and a new buddy.
And, yes, cloth mask and distance work together. That`ts why I was horrified about the BLM proteests in the beginning. Although they about all wore masks after some time it was still a risk. Then I was also horrified by Trump`s packed rallies without any masks as it seemed. He shuould have known better (and in hindsight he did!) and as a presidient his word had influence but in the wrong way it seems.
According to the pipeline you mentioned I don`t know details. If it was about fossile fuels, yes, thats a dying business. Global climate change and the fact that we will run out of that shows that this road has a dead end.

I listened in last January to some Fox News people, Carlson and his friends and thougt: Now did they change their observation of Trump, because the citizised him about his response to the virus and the economy and all that. Then I realized that these comments were made in regard of Obama, years ago. And it was Obama`s Ebola response. They virtually killed Obama and then, January 2020 they let Trump blunder his way through the same problems ithout critizicing at all, they praised him for that poor dealing like they were brain washed.
