    1. @Christine Sevigny look how homeless sheltered at hotel across the city but nobody would complain bout that right

  1. Poor lady. I don’t know what’s more frustrating, the fact that this happened, or the fact that its in no way surprising at all.

    1. so gues lookimng another handout gofundme pages like nothimg see here right if she afford travel outside the country she be ble for herr hotel right

    2. @garry w not fully sure I get your meaning but she had to go bury her father. Also, her primary issue seems to be that things were dishonest, disorganized and unsafe.

    3. @thesitcomaddict gues she couldnt wait for better dated to have a funeral right?my brother died cancer in dec ami allowed toronto belleville with having be putup in hotel reg rgeion to region travelling think bout.are we suppose be handing fat pay cheque $3500 a night thren?

    4. @garry w ask the victims of sexual assault how they’re doing in these hotels. Also not sure qhy anyone needs to cater to you. She burried her father

  2. No exemptions if you’re already a Canadian Citizen and seemingly no opposition to this by any political party. Let that sink in the next time you vote.

  3. Omg ….lady ….you walk away and call your credit card company and have them delete the charge ….wtf !

  4. All this means is more billable hours for the panel of experts who made these reccomendations, not much of a surprise.

  5. Serves her right for leaving the country during a pandemic to not only attend but arrange the funeral for her father. How selfish! (Sarcastic tone implied)

    1. Hey, I’m glad I saw the remark in ( ) because I was about to blast you, LOL – where is Ozzy when you need him – “crazy, that’s just how it goes…” Peace!

  6. I would have taken the cab home, deal with the fine if it shows up then go to court. Call the credit card company to contest the charge. Its Bullsh*t!!

    1. 3:09 It was stated that the fines are anywhere from $3,700.00 to $750,000.00. Worth it for the low end, but who can afford a stiffer maximum fine and the long court fight to put things right.

  7. They should’ve went home and disputed the charges with her CC company. They cannot legally detain you.

  8. That is insane. The government has just found another way to use the hotels they have closed down!!!
