    1. Quebec has both public and private systems. They are doing much worse than Ontario. The average wait time for a family doctor in Quebec is 5-10 years.

    1. Dual public/private is very much the norm in developed countries of all political stripes. Canada is an anomaly.

    1. @NEMISES … And access to CT, MRI, and PET scans when you need them on short notice. All available via private clinics in Canada already. And docs in the public systems refer their patient to these clinics including in cases where public insurance won’t cover the cost. Just one example of reality today.

    2. @MrUranium235 That certainly doesn’t describe the situation I hear about from my nurse spouse. BTW nurses have had vacation time restricted during 2020 and 2021. It was very limited.

    3. @MrUranium235 I agree and part of it was by throwing their co workers under the bus. Instead of standing up for the rights of all workers they caved in.
