    1. Not only that, their cars are poorly maintained as well. I work as a mechanic and I often come across customer cars with 3/32nd all season tires plus brake pads worn to the backing plate being winter driven.

  1. And a growing number of foolhardy individuals have just “unlocked” their Honorary Darwin Award nominations for 2022.

  2. How many of them have snow tires, on ,,,,,not all season tires,,and please drive slower in bad weather, ,everyone

    1. Winter tires help a lot but if there is a significant volume or snow/slush on the roads you will still hydroplane.

    2. @Chevez Ezaneh (Terminative) agreed. I teach school bus drivers how to drive. At 50 k your tread is making contact with the road, 50-70 k the tread is rolling the water like a barrel in front of it. At 100k you are on top of the water.

  3. Drivers are unable to stop in time because they are driving like morons…. Driving 100+ kph when they should be doing 60 kph…. Totally preventable.

    1. @shamrock4500  they don’t need to . If loaded the momentum carries the larger vehicles more than a smaller one at higher speed . Let’s just say there are issues with many drivers that fail to slow down and drive according to conditions no matter what they are driving

  4. You all were told “don’t go out if you don’t need too” – no one listens – everyone is a kid that don’t listen. “I can drive in it….” CRASH!!!!! oops! ** eye rolling **

    1. @Carlos Morales Yes. I’ve heard about the weather in Canada. I have never been there. I would like to visit Niagra Falls-in the summer of course! We had a neighbor from Toronto. She said she wanted to look cute and went out in a short dress in the winter in Canada. She said she paid for it. She had arthritis in her knees after that.

    2. @Carlos Morales I have heard about Chicago weather too. I haven’t been there. I’m a little hesitant to go. I have heard they have quite a bit of crime there.

    3. @Carol Lewis yes it’s a sewer over there . I used to go because I was a truck driver . I used to do 2 trips to Chicago a week … crime is high and the city is dangerous

  5. Leave a SAFETY GAP/ SPACE!!!! minimum 2.5 full car lengths minimum… Stay safe help eachother stay warm and Merry Christmas Blessings to All🙏🙏🙏

  6. So how long ahead have they warned the public? It is Canada, we are winter here. Those that have to travel when they could have changed tickets once this was warned about, have no one else to blame. Time to take some responsibility for their own choices. Get back up power and heat, food and water. Stay in your house and wait it out. It always was this way and it won’t change. Don’t blame others for what you created.

  7. It never ceases to amaze me travellers who get annoyed and impatient at this time of year when they book vacations and flights are delayed or canceled. At this stage of their life they should be perfectly aware that this may be a thing and just go with the flow.

    1. I never travel on holidays. Learned my lesson a long time ago when I was young. Noped right out of these messes.

    2. @Robert Campbell “Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I am not sure about the universe.” ―Albert Einstein

    3. In general I’m quite amazed at how our infrastructure and ppl are still somehow “shocked” by what is, at this point, pretty much regular or standard winter weather

    4. I’m pretty baffled too. Do they want their plane to crash? If the weather is not safe, I’m glad flights are cancelled for my own safety.

  8. I always thought that it was common sense, that when we have a snowstorm, drivers should lower their speeds. I guess common sense is not so common.

  9. This was all forecasted, for any caught up in it. The whole arctic vortex, snow, lake effect, etc, etc. But some travellers don’t believe in forecasts until they are sitting at an airport, or on the 401, behind a pileup, needing to pee real bad, lol

  10. I’m in Merlin Ontario and I live across the road from Lake Erie and we can’t even see it. We can’t even seen our neighbors house yea flash freeze our pipes are frozen all but our kitchen so am I liking it not so much I hate the dirty word snow ❄️
