One worker was dead and four hospitalized Tuesday after a parking garage collapsed in lower Manhattan's Financial District, toppling cars over each other as concrete floors fell and left other vehicles teetering on the unstable roof.

Mayor Eric Adams confirmed the fatality and said the building had been rendered "completely unstable.'' Officials said one worker was trapped on an upper floor and rescued via a neighboring roof.

  1. Idk how many years these people think they have left in these buildings but they won’t last forever.. this would never happen in a wooden area with a cabin and a lake down the dirt road but city people can’t stand nature but this is what happens when something is man made it will deteriorate

  2. Wow. My Condolences To The Family…I Hope That They Pay Closer Attention To All Infrastructure’s

  3. It is man made people don’t think that garages and constructions like that will eventually fall in if they’re not taking care of people need to go back to the country where they have a lot of land and you don’t see all this but you say this in New York City and big cities

  5. Imagine paying outrageous rent to live in a box that is crumbling around your feet just to brag about living in a city
