@Elmosweed Democrats have actually said that only important people deserve protection. See Michael Bloomberg and other celebrities. Also, what do you think adding registration, fees, taxes and insurance will do? It will price the average person out self protection. Criminals will not pay any of these fees or do any registration. The reason gun sales skyrocketed during Obama’s 8 years is because he consistently said he wanted to make these type of laws. He just could not get the votes in Congress, even when the Dems controlled the House & Senate for his term. When you say nobody needs a 100 round mag for their firearm, I bet you think it is ok that police and government are exempt from said rule, because that is what they always write into these laws. They constantly exempt themselves with a “Rules for thee, but not for me” attitude. Open your eyes. Not wanting to acknowledge the truth doesn’t make it not true.

Look I totally understand that they want their voices to be heard. Anytime apparently is a child is never a good thing. But the president does not have to see you just because you requested. He has a position that is very difficult, and everyone understands the fact that he can’t sit here and talk to each and every one of us. Believe me I wish you’d listen to me on some things cuz he might actually have a better run at president here if you did listen to people like me. But that being said, he is a man who is looking at problems all across our country as well as across the world. United States is a country that everyone looks to for answers and direction and our leader such as President Biden is constantly on the move trying to make sure things are moving as swiftly as possible. I hope these parents get a chance to speak to President Biden, but the honest truth is, no matter what they say or talk about with him it won’t ease the pain of what they’ve lost. It won’t bring their son back and honestly there’s not a whole lot the president can do. Now if you want things to change with topics such as gun violence in our schools, you need to be after our lawmakers as a whole. From governors to State officials to our senators and congressmen and women. They are the ones who constantly are neglecting the violence that is going on in this country and overlooking laws that need to be put into place to help better protect our kids. As you can see in the last year the president can say all he wants but he can’t make those people do their jobs obviously. So don’t get mad if President Biden doesn’t come out and speak with you or sit down with you in the oval office. He’s a very busy man and there are other people who actually will make the things happen if we hold them accountable and push them to do the jobs they were elected to do. Those are the people I would say you need to get the attention of.

I’m an Idahoan (largest gun state in USA) and I never purchased firearms until I moved to Portland Oregon. Once the proud boy terrorists started destroying the cities I had to prepare to defend myself.

As a mother of adult children I am soo glad to see these parents r unwilling 2 give up with their attempts 2 b heard. Our children should b safe no matter if in school, on the streets or at home. Why is it so difficult for lawmakers 2 understand? We of course know the answers. Power and money r more important than even their own children.

Calling for the expansion of government through more unelected bureaucrats is never a good idea.
If the nation of laws was respected, it wouldn’t have to be this way. Sadly, this current nation almost lost the very seat of democracy. On top of all of that, some people actually believe Biden isn’t the duly elected president.
Personally, I believe the expansion of government is necessary and it needs to begin in schools. Too many people have made it all the way to Congress while being dumb as a bag of rocks. Expand government with the task of increasing rigor on the curriculum(s) and by making sure no one graduates high school unless they can explain all of the U.S. Constitution and all of her accompanying and subsequent laws, amendments, and bills.

Recently, in the area of Miramar Florida there was a kind 16-year-old teen that was brutally and senselessly slain due to gun violence and lack of gun control.
X1…. you left a tiny detail out…. he was trying to rob the man who eventually shot him.
But if states did not allow citizens to open carry( or hidden carry for that matter ) the kid would be alive.

My heart breaks for this man as I dont know and I hope I will never know what that pain is like of your innocent child being murdered. With that being said, he clearly doesnt understand how it works because thinking Biden can snap his fingers and make a change with gun control, it doesnt happen that way. You have an entire party on the right that doesnt want gun control and they will never change their stance on that, hence why everytime there is a mass shooting they blow a fuse when people bring up gun control laws.
