Tensions flared as George Floyd protests continued around the country a sixth straight day.

RELATED: George Floyd protests take widely varying turns

Across the U.S., protesters marched in the streets again to call for reforms after the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in police custody on Memorial Day in Minneapolis.

Most demonstrations were peaceful though violence, including the burning of police vehicles and looting, prompted police in some cities to deploy tear gas to gain control of the crowd.

Think it’s bad now? Wait till they cut off the $600 unemployment and don’t give out stimulus checks because they’re “waiting and seeing”. Then the real riots will start. Life’s about to get real in the next coming months. This is just the beginning.

    • SUSEŁ LAJV | June 1, 2020 at 5:16 PM | Reply

I hope the riots won’t “take prisoners” because those protests are freaking madness.

    • @TheAwesomePossum you dump. Why because y’all ” let us have a BLACK president”. That does not equate to the oppression that African Americans deal with every day. But you wouldn’t know would you. Stop it.

    • @Uvuvwevwevweonyetenyevweugwemubwemossas The only thing more stupid than your comment is your long name. Mind your business. We don’t need your type.

    • NosyNeighbor | June 1, 2020 at 2:41 PM | Reply

@Tiya B What an ignorant comment. Calling everyone uncivilized due to the action of some? As if your race is known for being lawful citizens. Doesnt sound good right? So dont generalize.

    • @Drunken Skeleton I understand that completely. I am fortunate enough that I’ve never personally experienced any disrespect or brutality from police. Unfortunately, that doesn’t change the fact that the “good cops” stand by and allow the “bad cops” to murder innocent people. With that being said, they deserve the same treatment. Sorry, not sorry. At this point that is what is needed to let them know we are sick of the racism and murders. Every officer that kills an innocent, defenseless person publicly deserved the exact same treatment!

    • @NosyNeighbor Like I said, they deserve whatever they get. “My people” are human beings that respect life. They don’t come in a color, or race. I don’t care about black vs white. I don’t care about police vs citizens. I don’t care about Democrat vs Republican. I care about human life and I KNOW we all deserve to live in peace without worrying if we will be killed for nothing without consequence to the murderer. With that being said, you are not “my people” so mind your business NOSY!!

    • @Francis Castiglione I’m not sure what your point is or what is funny but whatever. We don’t need for things to get worse before we make changes. Bye!

I love how people stand u and try to bring justice for George Floyd but I’m sure he did NOT want people to start hurting others, he did NOT want fires on the street and he did NOT want a war to start. So please stop hurting each other he wouldn’t want that..

    • Annabell Saxon | June 1, 2020 at 11:32 AM | Reply

Mariethepotatolover it’s not all about george, it’s about black people getting treated disrespectfully in general. no justice no peace.

      Wrong
An eye for an eye and murderers get executed
Not everyone is a murderer and executing killers will make crimes less

    • NosyNeighbor | June 1, 2020 at 2:34 PM | Reply

Disgusting behavior from protesters. This is not about injustice anymore. Its about them being scum no value in the community. Hope your kids will be proud of you one day.

    • if i was murdered by police due to my race, i would absolutely want a war started. you must be very young and naive to believe that all of this is the result of a single murder. it’s the result of years of systematic racism at the hands of those who are meant to protect us
