This young lady is just looking at one aspect of the situation, she is not saying anything new however, it takes money to pay our teacher more, and if we pay our teacher more, all the other public servant would want the same rise in pay. Until we grow the economy, we’re not in a position to pay higher salaries. Jamaica GDP; is about the same level as the 70’S The whole of Jamaica have to be more efficient, the reason why the government were able to give benefit to the most needy Jamaican during COVID! Is because they have a Brilliant Minister of Finance who run a tight ship; and he was able handle the nation economy very well, without borrowing money. We can’t say the same for our productive sector! This young lady need to think more broadly before she speak…
