    1. @Corey PaquetteThey are driving residents insane, shut businesses, and crippled the capital. How about 100 trucks visit your house and honk till you go insane? All they want are tickets to the Leaf’s game. Would you open a dialogue?

  1. Par for the course, withhold epidemiological reasoning behind blanket medical interventions, withhold legal reasoning behind martial law. Illegal blockades were cleared prior to this presser, what about the Ottawa protest qualifies the current situation for war measures act??? This is very scary for the future of our country.

    1. you’re being dramatic. sorry that your cause is being crushed by the interests of money and the general public. want a band-aid?

  2. He is not a leader, he is s coward. It is unacceptable to be using these measures with such lax attitude. These are measures for EMERGENCIES, not protests.

    1. It is an Emergency when: (a) the municipal and provincial governments declare emergencies, (b) those police departments continue to be overwhelmed and can no longer maintain law and order. (c) At this point, it becomes a national emergency.

  3. What a coward. Invokes the emergency before even opening dialog with the protesters. He’s a disgrace. Sad excuse for a leader.

  4. What part of the convoy and protest in Ottawa are illegal other than the PM saying they are? Not a Canadian, so am not sure what the laws are. It seems like he just kind of said “I declare it illegal, so now it is illegal.”

  5. He is not a leader, he is s coward. It is unacceptable to be using these measures with such lax attitude. These are measures for EMERGENCIES, not protests.

  6. 2 years of mandates has been disruptive to all Canadian jobs Why has PM avoided all talks with the peaceful citizens? Its a sad day for democracy.
