    1. It can hurt both sides. Imagine if the polls said Democrats were leading by 15%…do you think their would be more or less democrats who would go out of their way to vote? Their would be less, because they would feel their vote is not required, that it’s an easy win.

Also if polls say Democrats are winning by just a slight margin, it’s more likely to get the Republican voters out there, since they have a chance of changing the outcome. I agree with the historian, polls should not be part of elections. You shouldn’t vote or not vote based on who’s leading or not. Everyone should vote and vote based on their convictions and not polls.

    1. are you polling the comment section to see what kind of support you could expect for your pointless petition?

    1. it works perfectly fine fore 1 side hehe they been rigging the counties to make it easier to win with every election they win. it would be hard to change without a full one sided win

    2. @elearne j What side the one that keep losing the popular vote but win anyway or the side that wins the popular vote and keeps losing?

    3. Exactly! A lot needs to change in that country starting with their constitution. Laws are a guideline but can never stay sane hence presidents being set or addendums then qualifications in politics, two main party thus no other party helping put in checks and balances, useless electoral college which again put in place for bias and the list goes on. Then, unsophisticated voting populous who are easily fooled all boggles the mind.

  1. It’s not just the polls that stink, but also their entire voting system as a whole… America really needs to move on from “first past the post” and bring something else to the table.

    1. @Based Canadian Has nothing to do with a vote counting racist electoral college system. Get rid of the electoral college

    2. @IXOYE No, we have a very secure system in Canada, not based on 3/4 of a human counted if you owned them…that history is enough to get rid of the electoral college.

    3. @Based Canadian Yup. It certainly isn’t a democracy. More of an autocracy – and if Trump wins – an oligarchy. Glad I live in a proper democracy. One person, one vote, counted equally.

    4. @Kitty Even Republicans aren’t explaining things as well as you are. This mail-in crap is way too easy to corrupt.

    1. They brought it all upon themselves. Too busy messing around in otherโ€™s countries affairs to do their own housekeeping.

    1. But they call 1000 boomer’s with cable television and ask them who they vote for. The one’s who say Trump are cut in half then divided by three.

  2. Take the power away from politicians.
Anyone should be able to propose bills.
Wtp should approve the bills through referendum.

    1. @Buzz McGee not a rant and not unhinged. I was attempting to appeal to logic and reason. Then I realized that at this point in time, one would have to be immune to such arguments for a comment like that to be written. So I erased my response and moved on. I guess I could have just erased it and said nothing at all, but we all make mistakes. Anyway… wish you well.
