    1. The fact that easterns tote “well Trudeau bought a pipeline” is all one needs to know. That is a negative in Alberta and Saskatchewan because they had already messed up the issue so badly. They have no idea what’s going on.

    1. Boromir Of Gondor I agree wholeheartedly but the other names for it are secession, declaration of independence, and rebellion. Wexit is not just flipping the bird to the Federal crown government, it is telling the monarchy democracy where to stuff it, and they will treat wexit like a rebellion and counter with both incentives and punishments.

    1. You’re not ready by a long shot… 6 months is too short. Not only that, be all the country heard you. You need pipelines and you’re tired to pay for Canada’s welfare. Even this swedish Greta Thundberg knows this.

    2. Albertans are ready and a short simple question is all we need. Over 6 months will be dragging it on and on forever like Brexit. Those who work or need to get back to work don’t get paid to talk about it.

    3. Clearly the country wasnt listening and didn’t hear… they voted for corruption, lies, deficits and IMHO, communism. The time to GTFO is now!! Let the ones with the hands out suffer the consequences of their actions and learn a valuable life lesson.

  1. Albertans are tired of talk! We aren’t looking for handouts. We have provided this country $billions in transfers and jobs for all those who chose to come and work. We received nothing in return! Time for Alberta to separate and prosper on its own.

    1. Brian S I agree Brian, but it’s important to remember that Alberta cannot separate yet still retain a democratic monarchy constitutional system. In order for true independence Alberta has to declare independence and secede from the monarchy democracy system and adopt the republic constitutional democracy.

Provinces become States, Preimiers become Senators and regional politicians become Congressmen and women and if we do this right, we get to call ourselves the Republic Of Canada, or the ROC. Pretty cool eh…

  2. Trudeau only takes advice from Butts who I’m sure will work hard to delete the pipeline regardless of what the west thinks.

  3. Very important the opposition takes down this illegitimate divisive minority government asap and vote for proportional elections, so there can’t be again a government barely represents %30 of Canadians at best.

    1. Careful what you wish for… That’s how Europe has turned into the shyte show they have there..Coalitions of 6 different shades of socialist parties are the norm.

  4. Thank you, Preston Manning, for so clearly and articulately elucidating the justified anger and frustration of folks living in the Canadian prairie provinces.I don’t have much hope that the myopic hordes in eastern Canada will understand the crisis but applaud your efforts to inform them.

    1. All Alberta needs is a provincial centric party just like Quebec, then threaten to leave Canada……………they will stand up and listen then

    2. @johnlavin  They will get the message a lot faster when we shut off the Oil taps and Stop paying Federal Taxes.

  5. “Then when Alberta gets into trouble, there’s no reciprocity.” – Thank-you Mr. Manning. He gets it!

  6. Not one word from any of the leaders about Agriculture in the election. I guess their food is grown in the Supermarket. Twit May blabs about carbon from farming. Is she going to harness her rear up to pull a plow and sow seed?

    1. The Conservatives knew they’d win the west without trying, the left knew they’d lose the west since their ideology is incompatible with the industry. The whole election was an embarassment to Canada, it’s not a serious country anymore.

  7. That time where Trudeau left out Alberta in a speech on Canada day, listing every province and territory EXCEPT alberta… WHO HERE REMEMBERS

    1. Pepperridge Farms remembers (sadly) Blamed it on getting “Excited” when he got over the Rockies.

And even sadder, he needs a Teleprompter to tell him the 10 Provinces and 3 Territories.
