This man is who we need to look up to. He was a truly amazing leader. Always willing to work with others, spoke with passion and compassion. Used his position to unite instead divide. May more like him continue to come forward.

  3. ✊😷make ” good trouble ” rest in power Legend πŸ’•

Makes you wonder which one of the good trouble makers today will ascend to the position of a civil rights leader in a future congressional body.

  4. You erect statues and monuments for people like John Lewis.

He fought for equality, not slavery.

    • Can’t help but shed a tear!!! A TRUE HERO!!!!! I can’t help BUT be speechless, pause and be silent!!!! Out of respect!

    • Out of true respect and honour! I will never forget Rev. Al Sharpton’s words, that on his body (John Lewis) wore the markings on his body of the beatings of the Freedom riders!!! He wore the markings on his body of the beatings, on the walk over the bridge to Selma for the right for black people to vote! You do not have to read about it b/c here he was this living proof of what occurred personified by one man!!! I knew he was arrested over 40x, recently heard him joke, that it probably wouldn’t be the last! YES, he is a great loss to the United States!!! He fought the good fight till the end! NEVER GIVING UP HOPE! BUT…may this humble hero & warrior REST IN PEACE!!! I mourn with his family & their great loss!!! A beautiful man he was! If I can glean just a little bit from his character, courage & his never give up attitude, I pray God use his legacy to in still these qualities in me more & more & others around the world! HE WAS BLESSED BY GOD!!!!! HE WAS CHOSEN by God & USED by GOD!!!!!! Donald Trump never will be! ALL GLORY TO GOD!!!!! Thank u to his family for sharing him with the world!!!! HE WILL BE ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED!!!

“”To those who have said, β€˜Be patient and wait,’ we have long said that we cannot be patient,” he told the crowd. β€œWe do not want our freedom gradually, but we want to be free now! We are tired. We are tired of being beaten by policemen. We are tired of seeing our people locked up in jail over and over again. (In this ‘sea of humanity’)Β  β€œHow long can we be patient? Which side is the federal government on? We want our freedom and we want it now.”’ ~John Lewis 1963

Solong John. Thanks for carrying all the heavy weight for this long. But.Β  It is now the Time for these dumb-religious FANATIC white supremacy-enabling half-DUMB Black and White American youngsters to continue to carry your torch and their own share of Atlas’ racist weights. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜·πŸ€—πŸ˜˜

He started ? Please he’s been in office for over 1/2 his life and he did nothing. Their is no place for bigots in heaven

    • Jellyrollfordinner It takes a special kind of troll to say that. But in any case…even if you meant it you’d be wrong and ill informed. Black people don’t think they’re superior…they think they’re equal. However, I don’t care what your race is…we’re all superior to you. Stay angry and racist my friend…we don’t need you.

    • YES. TOGETHER we can end racism. ALL of us black, white, brown. LGBTQ. We need to stand together and make change.
