There was a time the GOP actively pretended to occupy the moral high ground.
    All pretenses are gone.

    • Glenn Price | June 4, 2020 at 3:57 PM | Reply

bull it is not about GOP look where all these crimes have taken place. All cities where the violent rioting occurred are democratic mayors. I am not GOP but you can’t point finger at fake crap

    • @Glenn Price I love the “I’m not GOP, I just happen to support *all* the GOP talking points” types. You didn’t even put any effort into the sock puppet account. The trolls are getting lazy.

    • Glenn Price | June 4, 2020 at 8:08 PM | Reply

@Broblerone News flash you cretin. I’m not republican, haven’t been for years. Matter of fact i voted for Bill Clinton whose a uhhhh… say it with me ” DEMOCRAT” are we forgetting also Donald Trump was a Democrat his Whole life till he ran for office because he knew people didn’t want their sorry chumps back in. There are plenty of things I disagree with when it comes to republicans and democrats. But frankly as an INDEPENDENT REGISTERED VOTER i chose to vote republican in 2016 because of how much crap and lies the left has dished out since we sadly and mistakenly voted Obama’s lying twit in. You want to come in this comment feed trying to say i’m a ogre or troll when the facts are you brought nothing to the discussion but insults because thats what left wingers do :/ You don’t provide facts or a legititmate argument because you never have had one. troll dimwit gtfo off my feed.

    • @Glenn Price Well then, please educate me: out of the protests happening across the entire US, all 50 states, what percentage has been “violent rioting”?

    • Glenn Price | June 4, 2020 at 8:31 PM | Reply

@Broblerone well I am smart enough to know there are around 300-500 cities and town protesting less than that are violent rioting. My guess being of high intelligence tells me most of the cities that are violently protesting about 90% are those controlled or dictated by a democratic mayor because most of them probably have a agenda

I’m hoping our country can heal from the sorrow and division we’ve been going through. When leadership fails us, we must not fail ourselves and our fellow citizens. We can weather this storm and come out stronger and more resilient. Our local and state governments seem to be willing to work on reforms to redress the injustice of the past decades. I am hopeful that some real change WILL come. Peace, my friends. Please register to VOTE!

@Glenn Price Reform is indeed needed, on all kinds of levels for all types of issues. Yes, these cops need to be convicted and so do the looters and others that have committed crimes, using peaceful protests as pretext. Absolutely. Some laws do need to be amended, though. This country has a systematic ‘policy’ of the police ‘protecting their own’ and this includes the DA’s, courts and mayor’s offices.
I personally feel we should follow the lead of New Zealand and do a nationwide campaign to recruit a new, diverse police force. I believe that would be a good start to effecting some real change in law enforcement.

    • Elizabeth Nash | June 4, 2020 at 8:50 PM | Reply

@Larry Dakin I agree to a large extent. There are things that can be done on a Federal level that may help, too. Amending some of the laws and policies on how police are charged and prosecuted may help. That goes for politicians as well. There is so much corruption and cover-ups, that has been going on for decades. There is no easy answer, but we must start somewhere.
As for the looting, violence and rioting… that has been being shown to be the work of a minute number of people taking advantage of peaceful protests to sow dissent and wreck carnage. I hope they catch all of them and prosecute them to the fullest. But the majority should not be condemned for the acts of the few.

@gobigorange I hear you. I still recall, a little, the Watts riots. ( I was a child in Los Angeles at the time) and the Rodney King riots and so many others. . . And everyone thought that change may ‘finally come’, and you’re right, it didn’t. I think this time may be different, as there is a more diverse call for change than before. It may not be the change we want, but small change is better than none and it may at least be a tiny crack in the door. We can still have hope, even if it’s futile, otherwise we may as well give up, y’know? Peace.

  10. Sharpton’s been screaming for real change since the 60’s.Sadly not much has changed since then.

2020 has been like “the turbulent 1960s” all rolled into one year. A pandemic. Economic collapse. Social justice tragedy. Ahead, we have the potential for hurricanes, tornadoes, more pandemic-related problems, and who knows what. I pray that we survive.

Al Sharpton says the same things over and over again for a hundred years, and nothing!

  17. “Those attempting to destroy this nation* carry that evil goal in their hearts constantly  You must counter that with the goal of victory over evil in every heart – especially when you pray  Follow the leaders who support God’s agenda of peace and love in their own hearts  Do not try to match evil with evil  Realize this is a spiritual battle we are engaged in  We must win it one soul at a time through PRAYER and SACRIFICE”

  18. It is way overdue justice for ALL and real equality for ALL

Your orange dictator is the one sowing the seeds of discord not Al Sharpton…he merely made a little joke or two as a mirror to the orange devil himself…the sign of the beast is his son in-laws address 666 fifth Ave NY….Your main “man” is the beast himself…though I thought his color would be more red instead of his orange hue…but I suppose red would be too obvious
