    1. John, what did Trump say to be responsible for a few rioters? Now that you can’t ANSWER that QUESTION you may shut your soy mouth BOY!

    2. @Bewnie Sandals
He literally said that their vote didn’t count and that they need to fight hard to “take their country back”

    1. Mr. Blow has been around for many years…just not recognized by the mainstream media…but his insights are now finally being recognized !!!

    2. @Mr Archangel He’s been an op-ed writer for the New York Times for many years. Hard to be more mainstream than that!

  1. Thanks Laurence.. I’m so very embarrassed to be white. I have NEVER looked at people by the color of their skin. All the same.. human

    1. @Chuck Scott Just be who you are, and own it. You are looking at YOURSELF by the color of your skin, and you don’t like what you see. The most human thing is to be who you truly are. You will find that the world loves you!

    1. Philly, What law exists that would allow a company to pay a black person less than anyone else? Take responsibility for yourself!

    1. Read Isabel Wilkerson’s latest book, Caste. I’m a 76 year old American white woman living in Berlin for the past 31 years. I was involved with the civil rights movement in the States and taught at the first Minneapolis school to have busing. I’m still friends with some of my students from those days in 1968, and know what Kamala meant when she said, “That little girl was me.” It changed everything in their generation and the every generation moving forward. Later, I taught in the neighborhood they moved away from. Those former students did not fare so well. The most promising student was murdered, most did not go on to college. But one shining star was Terry Lewis, my ninth grade student. He is half of the production team, with Jimmy Jam Harris, who put Janet Jackson on the map, and were probably the most winning production team in r and b. So much of it is about education. So much more to say… I just raised a Black/German/African young man, now 24, for the last ten years. He’s bilingual and his African grandfather has a PhD from a German university. Two years ago he went to Atlanta for the first time. When he came back he was incredulous. “Black people were in every walk of life! They own Atlanta. It was amazing!” Charles Blow is the pulse of that part of Black America, as he has been for many years.

  2. I’m sure some folks don’t want to hear this! As a person over 50 I never understood why we are so Disrespected. Cheap Labor! Power

  3. Disclaimer: I’ve always been strongly attracted to fundamentalist philosophies and religions which are dogmatic, rigid, conventional, evangelical, cultist, fear-based, self-righteous, trance-inducing, hierarchical and closed to contrary opinion.

My latest, and most powerful conversion is to the postmodern, strict, regal, non-theist, glorious, woke, virtuous, humanist religion for The Greater Good: The Progressive Collective of Oneness!
There’s no need to ever express gratitude, since everything is a “human right” and one is simply “entitled” to all that one desires, as provided by the State. All hail the majestic, glorious, kind and compassionate, omnipotent and omniscient, panoramic social justice, egalitarian, wise, reasonable and logical, unbiased, science-based (“guiding” population growth and quality of life, as selfless surrender to Gaia, through the sacraments), illuminated by luciferous radiance, unconditionally loving and duplicitous pageantry and anthems of the iconic, sacred and empowering State, from which all benevolence and mendacity perpetually flow, in accordance with one’s fidelity to the scriptural doctrine and transcendent infallible values. We thank you, in the name of The Progressive Collective of Oneness! Compliance Is Key! HALLELUJAH! Aatma Ko Sadgati Prapt Ho

  4. The suburbs, of big cities all over the country are now much more diverse than a few decades That’s why Trump lost them. By pandering to a heavily rural, small town base, he pushed suburban voters toward the views of the cities

    1. That will not help the Republicans in the long run. Why? If ppl in the urban areas get more affluent then the are going to live in the suburbs, and there are not a lot of ppl living in the rural areas to make a political difference.

    1. You did see the plugs of his book right behind him the whole time he was talking, right? You can almost guarantee that EVERYTHING he was talking about is discussed in the book…in other words, if you want to know/hear more…go buy the book.

You can also just do the research yourself.

  5. So … sure… there’s a lot of history focusing on race. But WHY THE HECK do you think it’s good idea to keep thinking of politics in terms of race?

  6. Was watching this and my family was like are you in church in the other room. I was clapping and agreeing with everything being said. This segment was awesome and true. Education with a purpose.
