'Say It Louder!' Looks At The 'Power Of Black People,' Says Author | Morning Joe | MSNBC

  1. As a black I am so proud that our centuries of struggle and fighting for equality has brought us to this moment where we are facing true equality and the possibility of it for the first time? I would however say that even though I agree with black power, I think it should be more inclusive of anybody that wants to stand up and fight for True equality!

    1. @Thyalwaysseek show me anywhere my post or I said black people can’t be doctors, lawyers, teachers, astronauts or even the president for that fact! If one ethnicity has to run five miles to achieve something and another ethnicity has to run 50 miles to achieve something….. Is that equality just because they both can cross a Finish Line but one has to work harder than the other one to cross the finish line? Or let’s say it’s the Daytona 500 and a certain ethnicity has cars with 800 horsepower and another ethnicity has cars with 500 horsepower? Which ethnicity is going to have the advantage even though they’re both on the same race track?

    2. Jamie Cox Im an older white American. I lived through the terrible timesof the 60s and 70s and cried at the loss of JFK and MLK. It’s still very had to go see all humans are not treated equal. This current movement s fired by further inequalities eg increased % of this Covid in black and Hispanic people. So,despite in believing in the movement,Im fearful it is also increasing deaths in America . God bless and stay safe๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿคžโค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

    1. @R Robin in America, you have to pray here for Fair a election. Don’t forget America, that our electoral system is a construct design by oligarchs back in the day. And money still talk’s in this country. We have to vote like never before America and it can’t be a close race because that’s when there’s room for the fix.
That blasted electoral college BS. Which need’s to be change, now that we’re in a position to fix it, LET’S shall we? You know that the GOP are cheating in elections in the red States Right? And sense Trump doesn’t play by our rule’s, you have to pray with your vote’s America! And Good luck.

    2. @R Robin
Russian collusion has been debunked unless you’re Hillary Clinton and the DemoRats.

    3. The demagogues are the Stars in Hollywood ๐Ÿ™„

Who are really just Idiots ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ˜‚

  2. Go figure that Kanye West would be poisoning the well with his nonsensical and completely implausible notion that he’s running for President.

    1. @Lloyd Acton Kanye and Trump think Kanye will help Trump by taking Black votes away from Biden,

    2. Tell the truth.
Kanya West is a joke and really it is quite poetic to see his Meglomani versus Trumps or more in tune with it really.
They both have this idea that everyone loves them and what they say is so very important and intellectual.
      Lol
      They are both jokes.

    3. Kanye won’t get any votes.
He is a rambling joke; Just like Trump.
No one wants, needs or buys the self promoting crap they are selling.
      This is a serious business.
We must have police answering to the communities they represent.
      No more Qualified Immunity.
      We must stop Choke Holds.
We also must Respect the Police Officers in our community who serve us.
The time is past due to deal with this pain of having another human being treated as less than another.
We will get through this and become a Paisley America full of colors and patterns forming the beautiful mosaic representing the many wonderful cultures that made and make our country great.
      People don’t want to fight.
We all just want equal protection of the law.
      Equal respect.
And not have to worry our children will be shot, pulled over. Choked , and all the other horrible things we’ve seen happen simply because their kid is Black.
I just can’t imagine being a White woman what it is must be like during all this “Unrest ” as they like to call it, what it’s like to worry about your kid making it home safely these days.

    1. โ€œ45โ€ โ€œ Monstersโ€ : Great Economy, Energy Independence, High Employment for ALL citizens. Strong National Defense. Plan for Education School CHOICE. NO Dems can do better.

    2. TrumpVirus-19 ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปIndeed, โ€œWe have enough enemiesโ€ . The Democrats ARE the enemy. Those jack ยงh/t s have NO plan to benefit ALL.,Open๐Ÿ‘€s, look & SEE !

  3. America must go to the polls do not stand idly by the Russians come to vote America must go to the polls

    1. You got brainwashed or are an illegal. A vote for a dem is a vote for china. Can’t blame all your failures on Russia. Are they tearing down Abe Lincoln statues? Are the burning down democrat cities. Nope, Dems are.

    1. @Rune – Thorne – Are you a Democrat admitting the party’s racist past? That’s awesome!!!

    2. @Eddy Hanson I’m not a Democrat at all. lmao…I’m also a realist. The Democrats have an extremely racist past, the rise of the Southern Democrat, the Republicans have the Southern Strategy. Both parties have grabbed a hold of racial fears and tension to continue to drive a narrative. Do I believe that there is still racism in this country of ours? yes, I do, and there’s always fear of the other, and fear of the unknown to use to play with the weak hearts and minds of partisan hacks. I don’t think Donald Trump is a racist, but all the racist think he’s a racist.

    3. I hope biden wins, its the best shot at continuing wars and killing thousands of people. Good for the American economy.

    4. @Rune – Thorne- the Southern Strategy has nothing to do with race. You are not a realist if your mind is too closed to see past the propaganda.

    5. @Rune – Thorne – America is the least racist country in the history of mankind. You’ll never find another country. Ever

    1. The only real answer to poverty, police brutality, health disparities and anti-African American racism, is complete reparations for #ADOS, American Descendants of Slavery. Reparations is a debt owed to the descendants of slavery in America for the 400 years of oppression. Reparations will include but not limited to, $14 to $18 trillion dollars in cash payments. A 400 year Marshall plan with complete government/federal protections and more.

    2. @Nat Turner’s Revolt ADOS so after all that money is spent from reparations and blacks arwe right back where they started, whats next? more handouts?

    3. “Thesr- Corporation’s!!!’ Inslave millions of women, children, men Black!!!’, earrings Trillions off of Free- Labor!!!!-‘ To Never Paid Their Future- Generations!!!!!” WALL- STREET WAS BUILT!!!-‘ BY”- SLAVES!!!!’, SLAVERY!!!!—

  4. The consequence of a two party system is always that you only can choose for the lesser of two evils…

    1. Here is some info on TRUE evils:
According to WHO, every YEAR in the world there are an estimated 40-50 MILLION abortions. This corresponds to approximately 125,000 abortions PER DAY.
      Source: Worldometers

      Q. Who supports this?
      A. Forked tongues.

Where is the OUTRAGE?! How many people of color are in these millions EVERY YEAR?

Here is some perspective on 40-50M:
      Population of California: 39 Million
      Population of Texas: 28 Million
      Population of Florida: 21 Million
Population of New York: 19 Millions

  5. At this point it’s not about being excited for Joe Bien. Its about a president with some common sense and can bring some stability to this country.

    1. @Manly_Man I’m not at all religious… We can agree on that subject for sure..
But religion is alive and well regardless of what we think.. I tell you to look that up because you’re mentioning M uslims above…
I’m trying to help you, by making you aware of things you may not care about.. but trust me, they care very much.. so much so that they have a detailed plan… It’s rumored they’re on step 3 now..
      Educate yourself… Seriously.
Ppl die because of lack of knowledge.
Your brain is like a parachute, it only works if it’s open… No new information can enter a closed mind..

    2. @Not Important I try to keep my mind open but the truth of the matter is I grew up during the cold war with the threat of nuclear annihilation always looming in the background. I don’t know how old you are but at my age I’ve grown weary of being afraid of things I can’t control.

    3. @Manly_Man I’m 43…
I can understand what you’re saying, even though I didn’t experience it.
Let me ask you something… So with the thought of nuclear annihilation always looming in the background for you growing up, how do you feel about this country being invaded by 30+ million illegals this past year???
And the Democrats encouraging it? How do you think that’s going to turn out?

    4. โ€‹@Not ImportantFirst of all did you get that number from Trump or a reliable source because they’re definitely two different things. And secondly give me some examples of this Democratic encouragement you’re talkin about.

  6. This young lady hit the point of racism. They feel that they have the right to ALLOW black people to live or NOT.

    1. By they I assume you mean planed parenthood because THEY have taken thousands of black lives

    2. @Not Important I am a 57 year old man so my chances of getting knocked up are about the same as Trump’s chances of getting re-elected. Any rate this is an issue that affects women exclusively and it really should not be decided by a bunch of old men. I agree abortion should not be used as a form of birth control and when I see pro-lifers start to show concern about the future of this planet and of the human life that already exist on it I might believe that they are truly and sincerely pro-life. Right now the top 11 states with the highest infant mortality rate are all red states. doesn’t that kind of scream hypocracy?

    3. @Manly_Man I am a 43 yo woman… Not a man.. of course there’s no way for you to know that…
      I live in a swing state… Ohio.
It’s farm country here, except for a few bigger cities like Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus… And others.
Just about every sign out in the country says Trump 2020. We have whole barn sides dedicated to that message.. flags, banners, the whole nine yards. The closer you get to the city, those signs change. Patriots live out here in the country.. guess who lives in the city?? It’s the same ppl getting abortions and voting Democrat. These are democratic cities… They ALL are…

It disturbing to hear you’re 57 and yet you write the comments you do.

    4. @Not Important you people are not better than anyone else. Trump is saying traitors like him were the real patriots. The rebels, the ones that took up arms against their fellow countrymen. He’s glorifying betrayal. He’s a real con. Yet, he calls those that resists his administration mobs. I’m not part of a mob. He’s unfit and I want him out.

    5. Lady G ๐Ÿ‘ˆRacism ??! As IF people HAVE to get in line to be awarded right to โ€œliveโ€ . Such degraded, incredulous remark. Such may possibly prevail in N. Korea.

  7. She made a great point: when have black women not had to vote for someone they werenโ€™t that excited about. Vote what is best for America.

  8. I’m definitely going to buy her book. I’d like to understand more about where she’s coming from as a young Black woman politically. I differ in opinion that Biden must pick a Black woman, through of course I would be delighted if he did. After Obama I realize it’s not so much about skin color, as who can get the job done. Granted, Obama was trying to govern for the entire Country, and he had Mitch McConnell against him. I believe Harris will not excite Black’s because of her record in California, you’d have 2 negatives. I like Warren she’s progressive and I trust her to be fair. I like Rice also, she has great experience. Thanks, I love you all ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    1. @imiss toronto I hope biden wins too. Looking forward to continuing the wars and killing of civilians that Trump couldn’t accomplish.

    2. Harris. All she did was grow up and as prosecutor sent Blacks and others to jail for weed. Yes! She smoked it while young, but grew up. Went into law. It was the ignorant who listened to the hate, accusing her. She was doing her job.

    3. @Maria Stockton yet! It would not show the racial demographics. It would be once again white old folks in charge. No people of color.

    4. @Marlowe Dugger well he certainly has some excellent options! I am excited to see his choice and even more so for the changes coming!

    5. @Maria Stockton True. And I believe Biden will use all of the professional talet and council that will be at his disposal. And hopefully he will call back in those life long servants Trump fired. Trump listens only to himself. He claims to be God. Biden has shown his humility even wearing masks Trumps administration dictated and social distancing. And Trump violates. Trumputinpuppets call Biden a coward for being safe and obeying the president and treat Trump as a god violating his own words.

    1. Biden is clueless..
Dude has been into politics for 40+ years and hasn’t done jack shyt…

    2. Remember guys. Joe Biden says you’re not truly black unless you vote for him.

Better show that old white racist you’re still black. While he locks your brethren up during the war on drugs and tries to string a sentence together but can’t, cause he’s working on his third aneurysm.

Don’t mind Trump passing first steps act, or trying to boost economic success in black communities by creating opportunity zones.

Don’t mind Trump planning to erect statues of civil rights leaders in the white house garden.

Don’t mind Trump helping with an executive order on police reform.

Just mind the media that ignores black on black homicide and claims they think black lives matter… But only when a white guy kills a black guy…

  9. More than ever, people must realize the president is doing the bidding of his Russian handlers.

    1. OMG that is sooo last year. Come on he is the klansman leader now. Get with the talking point program.

  10. He should choose Maya Wiley as his running mate. Other possibilities being bandied about all have some political baggage from being ‘out there’ in the public eye. Maya has experience in the law, is highly intelligent, and is compassionate. All of these attributes will be invaluable to the incoming administration.

  11. I totally agree with everything your guest says.
particularly agree that Joe Biden is not a very exciting Candidate.
But I would vote for a rock against cadet bone spurs

    1. Dave Haynes ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปEither vote for the Loon, Joe Biden to accomplish chaos OR vote for the Albatross, , Donald Trump to to accomplish prosperity.

  12. I can’t say it’s the power of one aspect of the movement, it’s the power of love for our fellow humans who are being systematically mistreated and murdered.
The power of We the People.
But, it was certainly the black people who were the catalysts for the Black Lives Matter embrace by everyone.

  13. Tiffany Cross should get her voice box checked out. She sounds like there are two cats fighting for tuna in there.

  14. I am going to say this, congratulations to you Tiffany on your very amazing book, I love your enthusiasm and your intellect. But I really really want to give B.I.G. ups to Willy, I am sending you a bro hug for not interjecting on a black woman who’s speaking truth to power at a velocity of 100 words per sec with milli sec intervals. I am ecstatic of the relationship that you, Joe and Mika have grown along with the African american communities, thanks and keep up the good work.
