See the alleged drone attack video Putin is calling an assassination attempt

Russia claims Ukraine launched an attempt to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin with a drone strike on the Kremlin overnight. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denied his country's involvement. CNN has not yet been able to establish the veracity of the videos circulating on Russian social media purporting to show the detonation of the drone and smoke rising from the direction of the Kremlin. CNN’s Nick Paton Walsh reports, and CNN’s Jake Tapper discusses this further with Former Defense Secretary under the Obama Administration, Leon Panetta. #CNN #News

  1. Condolences to all the mothers, fathers and families who lost their loved ones in Ukraine

  2. first clue that ukraine was not involved; they would not have wasted the drones unless they knew putin was home.

    1. @KW Harrison where did you get these real numbers from? Keep in mind that war propaganda doesn’t work in a comment section….

  3. Looks more like pyrotechnics than explosives. A false flag attack on an actual flag is beyond parody. 😆

  4. It’s SO amazing that an HD camera is positioned just right, and captures the rocket hitting the dome right in the middle of the screen! How fortunate! How lucky we are! It almost looks staged! Wait a minute…

  5. That looks like a firecracker. Seems like nothing but a hilarious attempt at faking an attack…

  6. It’s weird that the person who is punching and kicking the downed person is complaining about the slap on the wrist.

    1. @truthofGodsweden Terrorists have been fought in Donbass. Terrorists supported by Russia. Should Ukraine not have fought those terrorists who tried to secede from Ukrainian territory? Why does any of this justify what Russia is doing today?

  7. It reflects very badly on humanity that Russia is still allowed to attack Ukrainians after all this time without extremely serious retaliation against Russians themselves.

    1. @MrThartofwar “truth hurts huh lol”
Yep exactly. Trolls don’t like it when I call them out!

    2. @Jen Kem oh okay then, are you saying Russia is not strong? Russians have taken Bukmut, reframe that, smashed Bukmut, and captured the Ukrainians strongest stronghold and symbol of Ukrainian resistance, do you deny that? And this is against Ukraine and nato weapons? Tell
Me why Ukraine can’t stop Russia in Bukmut? Is it because Russia is strong? Or do you think that is a sign of weakness? All maybe just mentally challenged maybe?

    1. I realized there are lots of brilliant intelligent military analyses as I was reading the comments. Many comments were also funny and I really laughed with such clownish and ironic jokes. I admire the subscribers here and their comments. I am learning a lot.

  8. “Russia claims Ukraine tried to assassinate Putin in drone strike” – so Russia expects Ukraine to think Putin would be sitting on top of the dome?
‘Cause that explosion was embarrassingly small. How would you call that an “assassination attempt” when you barely make any damage?

    1. @Simulation K yeah good point. however there is also electromagnetic pulse as well as laser stuff against drones but idk what they use. I can impossibly say if it´s false flag or not personally, I mean there was quite some terrorist attacks already on Russian ground.

  9. It looked more like a Hollywood explosion than a real drone attach, all show and no damage.

    1. Yeah you’d think Russia’s air defence would pick it up if it came long range….that’s if there is an air defence system…..Putin deserves everything he gets!!🇦🇺🇺🇦🇦🇺🇺🇦🕊🕊

  10. Can you imagine that happening over the Whitehouse? Holy cow, how’d it get through that much airspace unnoticed? Either its a false flag and Russia is saying they can’t defend their capital or someone else really attacked them, and they can’t defend their capital

    1. Looks like it may have hit the metal spire which is probably for lightning or other electrical wiring. That would explain the firework looking explosion.

    2. It seriously looks like an M80 (firecracker) I blew up when I was 15 lol.

How in tf anyone in their right mind would think this was a legitimate state-sponsored attack on anything (or anyone for that matter) is beyond me.

    3. I think it’s a small gasoline bomb, like they use in the movies to make it look spectacular.

    1. A firecracker goes off outside the Kremlin and bunker grandpa has a touch of the vapors. LOL

    2. Your guess is as good as mine. Might have worked if they crashed it directly into him walking between buildings, looked like a pretty tiny explosion, probably didnt even damage the dome much.

  11. Assasination attempt? So Vlad would usually be sat up there clutching onto his precious flag pole would he? 😂

  12. Wow that Firecracker9000 sure did a lot of damage and was no doubt designed to assassinate someone. How stupid do they think people are?

  13. The sheer amount of approving and cheering comments by ordinary Russians under videos about the atrocities committed against civilians and prisoners of war in Ukraine were no less shocking to Ukrainians than the war itself.
We somehow got used to the war, but the realization of who we have been living next to all this time without even knowing it is still terrifying.
Those barbarians called themselves our brothers.
Imagine what they would do to you, who they call their enemies, if you let them.
Not supplying weapons to Ukraine under the pretext of achieving an early peace would be like allowing a violator to violate his victim in order to end the violence as soon as possible.
