  1. Let me tell you something I’ve been ordered to stay home my job closed I tried to apply for unemployment but was denied automatically I tried to reapply and the website crashes over and over mean while my bills are still coming in I don’t think 1200$ is gonna cover rent utilities car payment for? I need to be able to earn money

    1. I applied for unemployment benefits over a week ago and I still haven’t received any email or notice back from the EDD, so I am kinda just sitting here with my thumbs tied and unable to find another job. Life sucks rn…..

    2. @Andrew Bills hahaha and here i thought reddit was where all the f*cking crybabies went to b*tch.

    3. @epstein was killed why would you just throw out a website about bitching and crying? That’s weird.

    4. Pancakez 101 I also applied over a week ago. I never received a notice stating I was approved or denied but I randomly went back online to try to claim my benefits & it allowed me to claim them. So maybe try logging on again? Best of luck!

    1. Cat Elkins I make a little over 70k a year however a one time payment of $1200.00 won’t be enough to do anything. That’s crazy to think it will

  2. Our Congress, I appreciate them wanting to “help”, but they are sooooooooo out of touch!!!

    1. @Lostgears you do understand that people without 2018/2019 tax returns do not have access to the bailout right? Furthermore people who don’t have an established direct deposit with the IRS for tax refunds are ineligible(for 4 months). No, you don’t. Because you don’t care about facts. You’re just looking to espouse your bigotry and ignorance. Facts don’t matter to people like you, you’re kind of a bad person for that.

    1. @D G I think the main reason he wanted to be able to give people money isn’t that different from the stimulus package. The point was to help Americans be able to not only survive, but also help bolster the economy using things like ad revenue from companies like Facebook, Google, Youtube, etc. For example, it’s like how bing gives you points towards gift cards when you do searches. You get back a little because they are getting information from you that they later sell. His plan would be similar, but it would be taxes on how much tech companies are selling your information for. Since that is heavily not taxed and there aren’t actually too many laws for it at the moment. It also is possible it could help some people break out of the cycle of poverty. So, I wouldn’t say completely unrelated reasons. The main difference is this is out of necessity for like 80% of Americans currently, while Yang’s plan would be for the 50ish% that normally are affected by low income, adverse economic downturn, poverty, unemployment, etc.

    2. Because even 1K would be better than this mess…one-time and doesn’t extent through this crisis. And it could take several weeks, months to get it out. UBI would work and allow us to peel back MANY layers of welfare bureaucracy.

    3. Chris Ducat just bc it would help in this temporary situation doesn’t mean it would be a good idea lol it wouldn’t peel back welfare it would essentially be giving welfare to every single american

    4. @D G I even mentioned that at the end of my comment. That’s the main difference. Are there others? I mentioned how they are similar, so at the very least they aren’t “completely different on every level”. If you have some other ways they are different, then I’d love to know. Seriously, I’m all for learning more about it.

    1. @Anastacia – Maybe, but this is youtube not an actual social interaction. The comment was snarky in nature and obviously a smartaleck response implying the women is very attractive. Get out of your safe place and live a little. 🤦‍♂️

  3. So when they kept chanting “as soon as possible” while arguing about this on Capitol Hill, what they really meant was in a couple of months? Better late than never? Hold on tight, folks.

    1. Didn’t Yang cream into his kneeling followers’ open mouths while his handlers looked on horrified?

    2. This crap is gonna come out in May and by that time this virus is gonna get worse here in America because amuerica is stubborn and stupid

  4. It almost feels like a joke to know that I’m the only one working in my household and even with the temporaryrause I’ll be making less than those on unemployment.

    1. I made a similar comment on another video and got attacked by the people getting that 600 extra. Making more than the people that are essential employees and have to work to sit at home safe. Those cinemark employees are waaaay more important than healthcare and law enforcement. HA.

    1. Whoever here is stating they don’t make enough to file taxes is grossly mistaken. You may not make enough to have to pay taxes if you make less than the standard deduction like some have said they make. However, let’s say you don’t file taxes and make $8,000 for example. Since the standard deduction for single individuals is a little over $12,000, you do not have to pay any taxes since your adjusted gross income would be brought down to 0. But some of your paychecks had taxes withheld. Now since you aren’t filing you just essentially donated your withheld taxes to the government.

    1. That will cause economic inflammation like what Germany did after WW1. Look how that turned out for them…

    1. @Kyle Alexander Its free. The loans go to buisnesses. They are giving money in hopes that people will spend it and be able to survive.

    2. Maureen Riordan is not that much tho. And I really need that money even if it’s a “loan” at this moment cause I lose my job and I don’t know how to pay my rent. But I can definitely pay that back once I get my job back

    1. @W TF? you’re a tool. Calling people who are out of work and poor “bottom feeders” what is wrong with you?

  5. So basically giving us back the money we pay in taxes every year. I feel bad for those not working, $1200 isn’t going to do a damn thing.

    1. 1200 plus unemployment checks so monthly looking at 3500 lol not bad at all so u shouldnt really feel bad democrats finally did something witch is give ppl that werent even making 3500 a month make tht money lol just imagine a teenager made 20k last year lol

    1. Sammy Qasem exactly. If you make over $75,000 a year, you don’t need money if your still employed, or probably even if you’ve been laid off

  6. Why aren’t we freezing payments on all types of loans? Like El Salvador, Italy, and so many others. We need more tests kits, labs, and supplies for research to get this over as soon as possible.

    1. I’m kind of confused too because a few months ago I got my very first official seasonal job for only a month and I didnt file at taxes. So like do I get the package or no?😭
