The number to watch is *active cases*. That number rises each day. As long as it continues to rise, deaths per day will also continue to rise. We are on a plateau that is likely to continue for many months.
And that is WITH the protections currently in place.

Gar Mar – total estimated cases vs deaths is the number to base lockdown decisions on. That number is more like flu in my estimation. Lockdown is overreaction IMO
You missed an opportunity to control community spread. You should have acted earlier. Look at Germany. You must now dramatically increase the number of tests. This includes testing for the antibodies. And we must not forget those in long-term and similar group settings. We need to look at a new model for these types of settings that focus on both those living there and those working there.
