  2. Oh boy, Jake better stay away from the break room or Chris gonna punch him.

    • @Factsthat Hurtfeelings I remember a time when cnn was the go to respected news outlet. Wolf Blitzer used to have integrity.

@Dillan Taylor you seriously think he’s an artist? He just claimed “there’s so many reasons,” but didn’t give one!!!! How do liberals not feel embarrassed by comments like that? Think about the news constantly criticizing and shaming everything from the right, and this is the first time they report NY having the most cases and deaths BY FAR!!!!! That’s the real news, not whatever that “artist” thinks he knows

CNN is fake news, propaganda. All lies.

    • Kamza Mosweu Haha is this a joke? CNN has stayed quiet with Obama on several mistakes, but Trump walks down a ramp and lifts a cup with 2 hands and all of a sudden its something neurological. CNN cant stand Trumps success

      @Nathan Martin True story!! 🤣

  3. As a New Yorker I’m going to respectfully tell you to shove it. New York and New Jersey were blindsided and had no playbook. New Yorkers should be proud for how we handled this challenge with zero leadership from the White House. We didn’t have a warning bell that the rest of the country had… he/we had no time to prepare or any therapies to prevent deaths. The rest of the country had the time and squandered it.

    • What warning bell did the rest of the country get that New York didn’t??? You mean they found out about Covid after everyone else did?

    • @Cool Beans I wonder which hospitals you visited??? I have several nurse friends and they were overwhelmed!

    • @Dave Sutherland The warning would’ve come from the WHO and the WH’s pandemic team. But the Resident in Chief decided to go after the WHO, CDC, and attack China, making it hard to get a handle on this. ALSO, Obama left a playbook that that resident repeatedly denied existed until Barr came out and admitted that it did. China wasn’t too forthcoming with info or was slow, some say. Who knows? BUT, Italy did give warning to USA. Cuomo’s info was limited at first, and he just flew blind at first.

I disagree with this segment, sorry.
Love cnn but I know there is good & bad in everything and a lot has happened this year. Cuomo can’t control everything, no one is perfect. This is a new virus, many deaths, A lot of misinformation, lots of learning & growing for everyone. RIP for those that have passed🥺🙏

Omg , the gov and the people of New York have done what many other states have not , of course there is sorrow in the deaths , but this was about the showing of New Yorkers fighting to get over the mountain of numbers of cases ,and showing them winning , unfortunately there are always casualties in a war , and this IS a war , gov has always mentioned them so why put the guy down when he’s actually winning ?

  7. Christine Stange | July 14, 2020 at 7:25 PM | Reply

He did put the fire out. It was quite a feat. He knows this isn’t over. He is very vigilant. I wouldn’t call the poster a “victory lap”.

“Highest death toll BY FAR!!!!!” Why doesn’t the fake news list the rest of the cities 🤔🤔🤔 real news would report the democrat run cities are 19 of the top 20 in cases and deaths. Cuomo sent infected elderly home while Florida ordered not to. Cuomo knew from the first outbreak in Washington back in January which was an elder home. He should be charged with murder along with the rest of the democrats

    • Kevin Arzola | July 14, 2020 at 9:32 PM | Reply

Isn’t funny how he lied in every point about Cuomo and then ignores how they’re settling low while LA is back in shutdown

    • Derek Kelley | July 14, 2020 at 9:33 PM | Reply

Your a democrat, you people lie to your selfs

    • No. Covid put out the fire by infecting and killing everyone in New York lol

  8. Before you guys criticize gov Cuomo, if you are a New Yorker and you and your loved ones are alive and well today, you should be glad Ron Desantis isnt governor of New York.

  9. I’m with the people of NY. They’re gritty and tough people. Let their spirits be raised a little bit.. Give them some credit. And don’t forget, Trump didn’t close down international travel from Europe which also helped circumvent asian nations into our country from the eastern seaboard.

I’ll continue to criticize this so called “president” because he’s not doing his job.
He relocated all responsibly on the individual states for a pandemic he should have taken charge of.

Those deaths would have been considerably lower and possibly contained earlier but for his incompetence as commander in chief, to assume control back in January.

Few states have suppressed the virus the way NY and neighboring states have. We should I don’t know look into how they did it instead of criticizing them for being proud of what was accomplished.

    • No they have just killed anyone that was vulnerable and now have achieved herd immunity but by accident most definitely not by design.

    • Crispin Fornoff | July 14, 2020 at 8:43 PM | Reply

You mean by culling the elderly populations? You’re right. No one else has done that

    • Kurt Cobain Ministries | July 14, 2020 at 9:18 PM | Reply

Gabriel Olvera they can’t be proud and celebrate with him because most of the other states including my state of Florida nor the President has NOTHING to show. He worked hard day and night and it’s obvious. Sign the petition today at change.org Andrew Cuomo for President.

    • We’re not at herd immunity levels here. We can still suffer another spike of people get complacent. Cuomo like many others didn’t want to crash the economy. Despite his delayed reaction he was still ahead of Trump in regards to a plan to fight the spread and taking the virus seriously overall. Gavin Newsom responded quicker, being the first state to lockdown but now they’re struggling with an infection spike. I think anytime we become complacent, the virus gets ahead of us. And there’s enough people out there that think this is a hoax or masks are just control, which sadly makes this even harder…

  12. Good, gotta cover all angles. I think Cuomo / NY modeled an “appropriate” way to handle COVID but there is a LOT of room for improvement.

    • bingo_fuel you don’t live here so you wouldn’t understand why those elderly patients were sent there. There were no beds left in most of ours hospitals. It took trump and the government weeks to help us.

    • @J P Do you even look at the case data? NY is definitely not doing better than the rest of the country.

What did he do that you liked specific to New York?

  13. A Governor did better than an entire Federal Gov.. Let that sink in…The amount of deaths is sad but he’s cheering that so many more deaths that were projected were prevented. Watch Florida and Texas overtake NYs death numbers in the weeks/month to come, remember this

    • Doesn't Matter | July 14, 2020 at 10:24 PM | Reply

@HB Bryan you look foolish. You just heard your beloved CNN tell you NY is the worst BY FAR, and you don’t even bother looking for numbers because you think Florida and Texas are having problems!!!!! Florida paid special attention to elderly at the same time as NY and Cuomo ignored it. Everyone knew from the first elderly home in Washington and Cuomo still sent them to die. Wake up or move to country you think is better. They’re all locked down because they can’t compare to America. Stop making us look bad and think before you speak

    • Doesn't Matter | July 14, 2020 at 10:27 PM | Reply

@Kurt Cobain Ministries you are dumb if you really live in Florida. Desantis saved thousands unlike Cuomo. Florida has more people and elderly, and has nowhere near the death of NY. Your Democrat run cities are leading in cases and death. That’s who you support

  15. Celebrate small victories especially during these times. I think other states should look towards Cuomo’s leadership and the steps the state took to overcome the ravages of this virus. Did he make mistakes? Yes which is understandable. Is he a model that other FEDERAL, state and local officials can follow? Yes. Did he give up like the President? No.

GOV CUOMO SAYS IN EVERY SINGLE BRIEFING “ITS NOT TIME TO GET COCKY OR ARROGANT, WEAR YOUR MASK AND BE SMART!” Us New Yorkers have gone through so much these past few months , celebrating what we chose to do as a state and community should not be criticized, especially when we choose to take precaution everyday 😑

    • Your governor tried desperately to cut Medicaid funding during a pandemic. He waited a full week to shut down after we did in California & he knew California was going to shut down ahead of time. He then had Covid patients dumped in nursing homes & several nursing homes booted out elderly and disabled patients, to make room for Covid patients because they earned an extra $750 per day per Covid patient. Several people were dumped, without their families even being notified, in homeless shelters. He even fought behind the scenes to keep people locked up in prison. The man is a psycho. Wtf is wrong with you guys? You’re run by the grossest right wing Democrats in this country, and you can’t seem to ever hold these MFs accountable for s**t. Enough already.

joeta morlu We (NY) could of kept rising like Florida , Arizona, Texas, California oh yes and like 30 more states… did you forget we were the epicenter ? 🤡

  17. NY has a very dense population. Give the guy credit. We’re going down in cases and he has gradually opened the state.

    • estennis34 You should celebrate progress so the people are motivated to keep going.

    • Dense, as in, not smart?

    • @L Boogie exactly! if ppl get no acknowledgement for their efforts by leaders in the field, at *critical junctures,* because this pandemic is so overwhelming and all-consuming, despondency might set in, because otherwise all they will have to listen to is wall-to-wall coverage by media outlets of the doom & gloom aspects of the virus. one walks a fine line between maintaining a cautiously optimisic stance, moving forward, and offering hope and a light at the end of a very long and dark tunnel.

    • Kurt Cobain Ministries | July 14, 2020 at 9:08 PM | Reply

Unaka despair has already set in. BIG time. But I live in Florida with Governor Ron do nothing Desantis. I agree with your assessment. Sign the petition today at change.org Andrew Cuomo for President.

    • Crispin Fornoff | July 14, 2020 at 9:18 PM | Reply

Southern California is similarly dense and they are doing much much better than NY

  18. Cuomo didn’t say “he” brought the curve down. He said “we” did it meaning the people of NY. New York has a reason to be excited and their Governor congratulating them will give them the desire to keep up the hard work.

    • Kevin Arzola | July 14, 2020 at 9:33 PM | Reply

Maverick all that was the right call. Go look at Florida, Texas, Georgia and Arizona who did the opposite

    • Agreed. And most to the time he say’s, “You did it, I did nothing”. He is constantly congratulating NY but not like it’s done. More like, please, don’t stop doing what you’re doing.

    • ThatFaceMelter94 | July 14, 2020 at 9:37 PM | Reply

Maverick Oh, so you think it more beneficial for people to decide whether they wanna be inconsiderate jackasses by not wearing a mask or not? That’s the part you focus on? It’s a good thing people don’t have the same feelings towards wearing a shirt. I’m sure that would be a fucking disaster too.
