The Bank on Canada is reminding Canadians that $1 and $2 paper bills, amongst others, are set to lose their legal tender status in 2021.

I have two of the $2 bills and one $1 bill that I’ve been saving since the loonies, and then toonies, were first introduced. Maybe in another 20 years they’ll be worth $20 total instead of $5! Hahaha

Back in 1980, in moved to Alberta from Ontario. I found out that Albertans were so Americanized that most of them had never seen a Canadian $2 bill or believed they existed. ( American $2 bills do exist, they have Thomas Jefferson on the obverse. )
I miss paper money easier to carry then coins. And not all can afford iPhones to pay for things in electronic money
Even the homeless have phones.
I used the $1,000 bill once in 1999 to pay my tuition.

Quick, anyone who has 1k sitting around that can get it put into one of these bills as collectors notes, do it now. This is your last chance, and those 1k notes will be worth SOOOOOO much more in the future. Grab a few of each denomination if you can. If you can’t, if you ever find one, KEEP IT.
You can’t get a $1,000 bill for $1,000 because they haven’t been printed in decades and anyone who has one isn’t going to sell it for $1,000.

This is a hallmark of the new world order. No hard currency, everything is electronic, so they can control all economic activity. The conspiracy theorists were 100% right and this is proof.
At least with paper money, you could use it as toilet paper. 😕
They’re eliminating old currency that is no longer used. This has been done tons of times throughout history. There’s no conspiracy here

I have over 500 in 1 2 5 10 20 50s dollar bills and will hand it down to my kids
