TikTok CEO pressed on privacy concerns during Congressional hearing #Shorts

Rep. Cammack (R-FL) questioned TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew on data privacy, security, and TikTok's relationship with ByteDance and China during a Congressional hearing on the potential banning of the social media app.

The potential ban of TikTok in the United States is set to be the focus of a House hearing Thursday featuring testimony from the company's CEO. TikTok is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. Scrutiny over TikTok’s relationship with Beijing put the company in the crosshairs during the Trump administration and the Biden administration.

Now, some lawmakers in the U.S., including the Biden administration, are demanding that the app be sold or banned. TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew is set to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Thursday, his first appearance before a Congressional committee.

      Usually there’s like some sort of disagreement in Congress.

  4. The difference between the coverage on Tiktok and YouTube. On Tiktok, the video extend to where they outright reject his request to respond.

    Over here, they just cut it off to fit their narrative.

  5. She keeps answering the questions herself, so why ask? I guess she needs to get out of there in a hurry.
