    1. I don’t agree with the rivalry as they are too young and do understand how to deal with it as yet. I would have loved to see a congrats with both athletes at the end of the 100m. Teenagers will react differently from adults (Shelly & Elaine).

    2. @toneygayle not true my best friend and I had a rivalry with each other since we were 15? Years old he went on to represent Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ at 2 Olympic Games and 2 world championships both of us are grown men today we’re still best friends and we’re both still rivalry!

    3. @Page One u didn’t get what i was saying. U were 15 and “BESTFRIEND” Its a different time now. Hope the coaches of both can help establish a good rivalry. It will benefit Jamaica. And am ok with that. But now we must show them both love.

    4. @toneygayle I think everyone in Jamaica πŸ‡―πŸ‡² love both of them equally, they’re all of us children and what we don’t know is the majority of athletes are very good friends! I’m around a lot of professional fighters and 1 think I can tell you is everyone of them is good friends they respect each other!!

    5. @Page One Jamaica does not love them equally. All Jamaica cares about is Brianna and so they diss and disregard Tina. Which is why Tina had barely any confidence coming into the Champs finals. Imagine we have TWO great athletes and ppl are hoping that only one excels? Absolute madness

  1. They should be groomed to cheer for each other and at the end of a race hug and congratulate each other. That is a healthy way to compete.

    1. It’s called rivalry….because they don’t hug don’t mean they hate each other. Its good for competition they both will push each other just like the rivalry between elaine and shelly it made each run super times………its good for the sport

  2. Reminds me of SFP vs Keron and sherone all over again, our females are. So damn awesome, even the reggae girls look good, man dem worthless nuh BCπŸ˜‚

  3. LOVE ❀️ YOUR PASSION AND YOUR TOTALLY DOWN THE MIDDLE NO NONSENSE APPROACH TO THIS. IF EITHER OF THIS COMPETITORS CANNOT DEAL WITH THE PRESSURE THEN THEY BEST FORGET TRACK AND FIELD πŸ˜€πŸ˜€. GOOD FOR JAMAICA TO CONTINUE THE LEGACY πŸ‘

  4. Maverick u are team Brianna lyston…before this race at champs…so I hope u don’t try to switch….

  5. I love them all, the Clayton twins, lyston, hall, hill, cole and all the other’s that are too many to mention. However, as much as the rivalry is needed to push them to higher height it would be nice to see them be more cordial towards each other. They don’t have to be great friends, but a little smile and acknowledgment of each other would be nice and be seen as an healthy rivalry.

  6. Tell them oral Tracey cause some of these ppl believe two athlete a smile with dem one another is gonna get them better

  7. Don’t want unuh a too push them against each other still enuh cause eventually they going to be teammates n me want them live good.

    1. I think they already do. When they were collecting medals they both clapped for each other. And Tina posted lyston on IG congratulating her on her pb when she ran 22.66 last month

    2. Do you mean live good in the same way Shelly and Elaine “live good”. Hah! Shelly told them straight…I am human, I wanted to win. No friends when you set in the starting bloc.

Track and field’s 100, 200 and 400m races are not Team Sport. The winner gets the glory. Even in the relays, the stars get the glory leg!
Criticism and comparisons are what build the rivalry, which keeps the fans watching, which makes the companies buy advertising space, the companies sell more products and use some of the money to pay these poor athletes.

  8. As long as they don’t send them to American college, hope they stay in Jamaica, remember Kevona Davis. I don’t trust πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ with our young runners

  9. They are in the footsteps of Shelly and Elaine . I am looking forward to seeing them in the Olympics in years to come

  10. I don’t mind seeing a rivalry as it makes them go faster but Brianna’s fans are downright disrespectful to the Clayton twins and that is not healthy at all. We need to show our support to BOTH these ladies or they may grow to hate each other. Notice how Tina said she had little confidence coming into the Champs Finals? You hateful Jamaicans caused that
