  6. Nova Scotians are made of titanium. They’ll survive, and thrive. On December 6, 1917 a munitions ship collided with another ship in Halifax Harbour resulting in the biggest non-nuclear explosion in history. 2,000 Haligonians killed, tens of thousands injured, including blinded by flying glass.
