TREND LINE: Freeland emerges from WE Charity scandal as the most powerful minister since World War 2

CTV News' Michael Stittle and Nanos Research’s Nik Nanos look back at a bombshell week in #cdnpoli.

The pair discuss Bill Morneau's sudden resignation as finance minister and debate over whether Chrystia Freeland has become the most powerful federal minister since the Second World War.

The opposition parties are crying foul over Prime Minister Trudeau's decision to prorogue Parliament. But will that outrage actually cause the Tories or NDP to vote against the Liberal speech from the throne in September?

Finally, Nik and Michael look at the Conservative leadership race – who's ahead in the polls as the campaign enters the final days.

    1. She’ll be a complete and total fuster cluck but Upper Canada won’t care. She’s one of TrudOWE’s hand picked fart catchers.

    2. Arlene Erfle very, very true…she’s already stated that she wants to restart the economy in “ a green, de carbonized way.” If that’s not giving Alberta the one finger salute, I don’t know what it is. Another Liberal government would be the end of Alberta..the status quo would be economic suicide..time for WEXIT.

    3. @Bill Murphy Yup saw that! Rumple and Kenny are gaslighting Albertan’s. They are closet Liberals!

  1. Shuffle cabinet ,appoint new Finance Minister close parliament corruption at its best with the rest of Liberals supporting this.
