More younger people are showing up in intensive care now. Do we want more kids headed to the hospitals now? Open it right and don’t put kids into harm’s way.
Just because young people don’t necessarily die doesn’t mean they don’t have lingering or possibly life changing organ damage after suffering through COVID-19. It’s entirely possible that the death toll won’t truly be felt until we see people dying 20 years before their natural life span is up.

Under the Obama administration, a “minuscule” number of children were removed from their parents but only in rare cases, such as a parent being arrested on a drug charge, former U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Protection commissioner Gil Kerlikowske said in a June 2018 Associated Press report.
The Trump administration has acknowledged that at least 2,700 children were split from their parents last year under the zero-tolerance policy that the Trump administration established in response to a massive increase in Central American migrants crossing into the U.S. border.

This presidency has been a nightmare. It’s like a mailman has told everyone he knows how to do neurosurgery and then he has been put into an operating room with a patient on the table. It’s nuts.
So now Trump is threatening to cut funding for schools if they don’t cave to his demand that all schools be open regardless of health risks to teachers and students.
Trump is basically threatening to inflict a wound to himself by cutting funding to schools, because a self-inflicted wound is exactly what that would amount to. Trump never thinks anything through. I guess this is how Trump is going to get back at his niece for exposing him in her book. Since he can’t hurt her, he’s going to take his anger and frustration out on our schools. Now I understand why he had to pay someone to take his SATs. 😄

Trump doesn’t care about being reelected I don’t think he’s really enjoying the job. He’s more concerned about being arrested once he’s out of the WH.
Im sure will be seeing him in court about his taxes and other crimes he has committed now WHY isnt that being addressed now maybe because all of congress is republican and preventing any real action to take place.

I’m in a virtual conference this week with other educators and none of them think that schools should open in the Fall. We love kids but we also like staying alive.
