More than two months after the first confirmed case of coronavirus, the U.S. still doesn't have enough tests. Michael Osterholm says there may be excess tests in some localities, but, "We don't have a system that tests everybody when they need it… we need a national system to make that work, and we don't have that." I’ve been tested last week and came out negative

    • Damn Straight | May 12, 2020 at 6:55 AM | Reply

Pro Truth The tests are highly in accurate because Trump decided to deregulate makers. Regulations get in the way so anybody that wants to make there own test can make one. Snake oil salesman look after there own don’t you know

So now what are you gonna blame Donald for?

    • Damn Straight | May 12, 2020 at 7:53 AM | Reply

Joseph Winkler Trump and his sycophants have turned the U.S into a third world oligarchy. Glad I am not living in that diseased ridden country

      Did you have symptoms ?

    • Pretty well doing what TRUMP does best right from day one,,,lying, cheating and screwing with everybody’s life ,,,people who are trying to survive. AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT.😠

  3. It is where I live.

    • It’s not where I live. I received an email from my doctor’s office. They say that they have only 150 test kits available but their practice has over 15,000 patients. That’s a problem.

How anyone can still say the media doesn’t have an agenda with these titles is beyond me. I’m glad their viewership is down

I’m just here to give the fake news another thumbs down for their biased horrible “reporting”

  6. I live in California and when i wanted to get tested all I had to do was go to kaiser and thats it

  7. Dude, the tests are absolutely readily available, my work even has them now for anyone who wants to be tested, and we aren’t some huge company.

Oh you just got test anytime you want in the US after 1.37 millions cases? Congratulations, Im sad for my bf who live in this country and had to stuck with the symptoms hard to breathe for 1.5 months without knowing if it is and the doctor just let him get a test a week ago 1 months after first call 😑 we could get test for about $77-$195 in thailand depends on the hospital but could get test when we only have a bit of symptoms since the start of April and all those who found positive will be forced to stay in hospitals so they could be treated in time and not spreading to others.

    • Paul Benoit | May 12, 2020 at 7:28 AM | Reply

DynamiteChic Maybe it was the doctors fault for not testing when he should had? But of course you wouldn’t see it that way. See what you want but it does not change reality and reality is that testing is readily available and has been for sometime now.

It sounds like my boss who always tells me she will support me in front of HR but then backs out when I need her support. She dont want me to contact customer but complete customers’ demand.

But, we’re the richest nation on Earth, right? Why can’t we AFFORD these tests? Is working in a meat packing plant SO GREAT that people would rather do THAT than be paid to stay at home with their families? . . . We can’t even FEED America right now! Let alone TEST them all? I just don’t get it? If America is SO RICH, like Donny’s been telling us for three years, where TF are all these POOR PEOPLE COMING FROM? . . . 🤔

    • Kenzie Crafts | May 12, 2020 at 6:40 AM | Reply

@Ash Roskell we have the tests stop being a little sheep…

Quite the opposing information from video to comments. Remember when all our industries, especially our news media, weren’t a billionaire monopoly?

Sure makes it easy to see who isn’t in on that power hegemony though.

Where I live at there is a drive thru testing facility set up in a town that is 15 minutes from my home. It is only open for 3 days a week but its open most of the day on those three days. Quick and easy. And Remember we still have to wear mask when we are going outside!! Btw does anyone where I can buy some real PPE? Like N95 or KN95?

    • llYossarian | May 12, 2020 at 2:07 PM | Reply

@tanner sharpHalf the guys in the meat department where I used to work wore masks BEFORE there was a pandemic so what’s ignorant about people wearing masks while working over-time NOW? Presumably you want to avoid getting sick if you don’t make much money/working is important to you right? Those of us who are healthy and confident enough to go out and work/interact need to avoid catching and spreading it to those who are older or otherwise more vulnerable to respiratory infection. There are dozen/hundreds of people and places that will just give you a mask if you ask for one or you can use a handkerchief/towel for free. I’ve been able to wear face protection full-time since this all began without paying a dime. You can too.

    • Deborah Freedman | May 12, 2020 at 2:47 PM | Reply

Consider yourself lucky. My state only has one drive through site, only open 10 – 3 on Fridays, and it only opened 2 weeks ago. For a state with 4.2 million people that is truly sad. No wonder we have the sixth lowest testing rate.

    • @Martha Almonte I think the original post is from someone that owns the website and the person offering their suggestion also from that website.. I’ve seen the exact same question and answer on another video

    • tanner sharp | May 12, 2020 at 6:18 PM | Reply

llYossarian how do you feel that people are making more money than you sitting at home,??

    • IAMTHE WALRUS | May 12, 2020 at 9:36 PM | Reply

@Deborah Freedman that’s exactly what free healthcare would be like.

Except for the fact anyone who wants a test, can literally get up and go get one. What am I missing here?

    • @romanticwander Nope, wrong. And once again, for anyone who reads this thread, here’s the unedited video and I recommend watching more of it for context: https://youtu.be/no0MnomPzLw?t=374

    • romanticwander | May 12, 2020 at 6:08 PM | Reply

@Tbone lol I agreed to people to watch the video and to do their research. I’m not wrong. But continue to repeat it like a child. 😂 bye I have more important things to do like make income. 💅

    • @romanticwander Oh I thought you already went to work? Sure bud, we believe you LOL

The test is available for those who want to be tested , IF, you have any of the symptoms that the CDC outlined.
MSNBC is playing word games , need, vs want.
Doctors determine if you need to be tested by diagnosis.
You can’t get an MRI on your knee, just because you WANT one, the NEED for an MRI must exist by diagnosis first.
I’m rural, and testing sites have opened in many places now, for those who NEED the test, to rule out any of the symptoms displayed. Some folks are dealing with seasonal allergies, which have some of the symptoms the virus exhibits, particularly when allergies trigger coughing, and respiratory infections.

  16. Wait, is he wrong? I don’t think he’s wrong. I think you’re just unfairly goalpost-moving MSNBC

  17. The like and dislike ratio on this video seems strictly partisan
