  1. So guess there’s nothing at all more worthy of this time slot? Nothing maybe more Canadian, maybe more important, maybe at all real and worth even addressing ?

    1. @Richard Mc Imagine if Trump had the national guard , checkpoints and machine guns guarding him as he passed 40+ executive orders within days.. Talk about an actual fascist.

  2. If, as she says, they are not just jurors but they are also eye witnesses then they should be disqualified from being jurors. That is a basic principle of law, a juror has to be completely independent of the crime.

    1. @Aunty Pha The constitution doesn’t say it should. It doesn’t say anything about when it could or should happen.

      Specifically it says “The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

      Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.”

      Nothing about it happening after leaving office, although it implies that, since the punishment is “removal from Office”, it shouldn’t happen now.

    2. @David M. Taylor It says “When the President of the United States is tried” It does not say ex president.

    1. DC’s not a state at all. It’s technically a territory. But it may become a state soon as that argument has actually gained popularity recently do to the riots. Essentially the police can’t do anything unless the mayor commands it to. And the mayor can’t order it unless the president allows him to. And trump wanted this to happen. So, he didn’t allow police to do much nor did he order much of an actual force to come down. Unlike during the BLM protests.

That’s because the Trump lovers are too arrogant and ignorant to accept the truth and they don’t want to spend airtime on Trumpling filibusters whos points, morals and values are not that of a legal, legit or sane civil manner. Sure the insurrection mobster have their view points but clearly they are insane.

      In 2016 Hillary was a gracious loser, and Trump was a bad winner.
      In 2020 Trump was a bad loser, and Biden was a gracious winner.
