He was saying that in the 90s lmao, how ridiculous would it be if it was shown that hes truly worth less than what he suggested 30 years ago? It would still be a business fail if a reporter can go on record saying that you claimed you were worth 10B in the 90s and somehow less than 20 or 30B today (if you had invested 10B in the wider market in the 90s, you would have around 50-100B today)

He inherited like a million or two from his father and is a multibillionaire so I’d say he’s done very well. The presidency was financial suicide for him, but he did it because nobody else had the balls to fight the establishment. I don’t understand this obsession with trying to discredit the man. He’s probably at a time where he needs to undervalue his assets because people are coming out of the woodwork to destroy him. The name of the game is not income, its net worth. You don’t get ahead by paying large sums of taxes. If he was such a lousy businessman you’d hear it from people like Rob Kiyosaki that know him and his business model.
It should be common sense that once you run for President, or especially if you become President, you should know that your past, your business dealings, and your every decision will be scrutinized, examined, and made public. This might be a case of strategic accounting practices. If so, I’m super curious to know how Trump reports taxes. Also, you have to look at the SEC fillings for more info on the businesses.
Thinking about it though, the concerns are his investments and income. You don’t have to report your savings. I don’t know if Trump owns any LLC’s. My curiosity goes into the amount of deductions and credits that Trump did to avoid a higher tax.
When the DNC raises taxes, it becomes cheaper to donate for tax credits and legally pay almost nothing. The DNC’s failed policies is why.
