Two Dominicans executed in Antigua

T JOHNS, Antigua, Monday, October 8, 2012 – Police authorities in Antigua and Dominica are still trying to piece together the puzzle of how the bullet riddled bodies of two Dominicans ended up at a house in Cedar Valley, Antigua, with no cars nearby.

Dead are Dermouth Alix Riviere, a 32-year-old resident of Antigua, and Dominican businessman Alwin ‘Bougg’ Robin, who was visiting the island. Unconfirmed reports are that Riviere and Robin were cousins.

The two dead men were discovered on Friday morning around 10 a.m. in a house near Cedar. Despite the fact that the bodies were found lying in pools of blood with gunshot wounds Police spokesman Corporal Frankie Thomas said neighbours reported not hearing any gunshots.

Reports are that Riviere, who built and maintained swimming pools for a living, was last seen alive on a job site on Thursday morning. He was subsequently reported missing by family members and his abandoned vehicle was later recovered by the police. Two months ago he married his long time girlfriend Kimana Iaisha Dodds-Riviere.
The two have a seven year old boy.

Robin was reportedly only in Dominica for about a week before being found murdered and police reports indicate that he was residing in the house where the bodies were discovered during his stay.

Repeated efforts by the home owner to reach Robin over a 24-hour period were said to have gone unanswered resulting in him asking a friend to check on the Antiguan. It was then the discovery of the bodies was made and police called to the scene.
