  1. Trump: …..”A lot of incredible things are happening. We’re winning the battle”

News Anchor: “Now, back in the real world…..”

    Me: 😂😂!!!!

    1. @Tommy Sang Lee
I think it’s all about the most valuable thing on this world. One man calls it FakeNewZ.
I’m fairly certain that Boston media started a revolution 3/5/1770.
Some soldiers were innocent at a massacre on king St.
      MURDERERS PROTECTING COLONIES….
I think it started a war for independence.
      Nine miles from my house.

    1. @Ivan Chernyshev Well she’s a moron. 11 more years left of life on earth according to her. If she’s wrong, can we send her to a different planet? Because the media are all biased, left wing scum, they protect her. Do you realize she said that no person should be locked up in jail or prison, no matter what they’ve done? It got no publicity because she’s the left’s new radical, clueless darling.

    2. @JeffWVU Yeah, it’s true that AOC said that the world will end in 12 years if we don’t do something about climate change, and it’s totally off-the-rocker. What scientists *actually* said was that we have 12 years to keep climate change below either 1.5 or 2 degrees Celsius (I don’t remember which), which is as high as temperatures can rise and we could still live normally. But from that example alone, I don’t know. Politicians exaggerate to get their point across all the time.

Prison abolition: it looks like far-left nonsense and if not properly implemented will be, but you gotta keep an open mind. Prison abolitionists, even if their main point is wrong, raise a lot of good points about solitary confinement being inhumane and african americans being more likely to be imprisoned. And, although I myself currently am really suspicious of prison abolition, if prison abolitionists present a viable alternative to imprisonment, I’ll be open to changing my opinion.

What’s more convincing of AOC’s naivety, though is AOC’s record on politifact: https://www.politifact.com/personalities/alexandria-ocasio-cortez/

Although the sample size is arguably too small to be representative, it’s better than anecdotes, and this record is worse than Donald Trump’s, Mike Pence’s, or Mitch McConnell’s. Or Nancy Pelosi’s for that matter. That just shows her to be naive. And indeed, if people like AOC ran the entire government, we could be in trouble.

Still, bottom line is, it’s important to be skeptical in politics. One should never buy into name-calling in the context of politics, as that’s basically a claim without evidence. Also, specifically in AOC’s case, there are a lot of false rumors that AOC said this or that: https://www.politifact.com/article/2019/mar/27/no-alexandria-ocasio-cortez-probably-didnt-say/. Itrrationally-held truths may be more harmful than reasoned errors, so I’m gonna disregard name calling, unbacked claims, and anecdotal evidence in favor of actual data.

And, about the media being all “biased, left wing scum” – maybe a good chunk of the media have a left slant due to journalists mostly coming from the cities and being mostly college-educated, but that doesn’t mean that there are unbiased and even right-leaning sources you can go to. Like Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, the Hill, and the National Review. Obviously to someone who judges anything to the left of the National Review to be liberal SJW propaganda will think the entire media is biased that way, but that’s not the way things are. Here’s a conservative’s (Jon Davis) response to the media bias chart that started circulating the internet in 2016: https://www.quora.com/What-do-conservatives-think-of-the-media-bias-chart-that-started-circulating-in-2016. The answerer presents his own media bias chart that, like the one it replaces, is not perfect, but is a really good starting point for gauging bias of various sources.

And, it’s important to address why AOC got elected, rather than just dismiss her as a nutjob. When someone naive but with a strong message gets elected, it’s likely because people are dissatisfied with the status quo. The prevailing viewpoint may be “regardless of expertise, we need someone to start the conversation about the issues that matter to us”, and that’s not a totally unjustified viewpoint. It’s important to find that dissatisfaction and address it, rather than dismiss it as bull****. Otherwise, you’re just as bad as those who dismiss Trump supporters for voting for Trump and call them “deplorables” when they actually have a good reason to have voted for Trump.

    3. Ken Price agreed, but I don’t think anybody is going to listen, the very few smart people like you and me, are aware that this virus is man made, and the vaccine already exist, but the vaccine is more deadlier than the virus itself, it’s to bad that only 5% of people will understand this 💔😞

  2. Praise him? Throwing the BS 🚩flag. “We’re beating it”? ALL evidence to the contrary. The US has the world’s largest number of cases and exponentially climbing deaths. Trump’s the CEO of Fantasyland.

    1. @Kim Coates why bother, the guy is a trump lover, prob still goes 2 church and infecting eachother b coz the orange crook said at first nothing 2 worry about here folks !

    2. @barry clarke I know. The Trump🐲trolls love to stir the pot. Over the last 4 days, the death toll has risen from 2000 to 6000 Americans. 11 red State Governors still haven’t issued shelter in place orders. Trump’s absolutely worthless when it comes to leadership. It defies reason how some people think those statistics don’t apply to them. I guess there is no quick fix for STUPID. smh

    3. @Kim Coates ur not alone, here in australia we have a guy just as stupid, but not as crude as the orange crook, thank god.

  3. I am from Italy, and we have been inlockdown for more than 2 weeks,
stores are now emptying and people are scared.
we cant leave home or we would be fined ore even arrested.
military and police patrol the streets 24/7.
people are scared and it is for all of us uncharted territory and an absurd situation.
if you want to know whats coming to your country I am keeping a video diary on my profile.
Matteo, an 18year old teen, from Livorno, Italy

    1. @Synren Actually, I don’t watch any news. I watch the live speeches. If you watch the complete uncut live speeches and just simply listen to what he says, it’s really not difficult to understand. Quite basic, really. Nothing he says has to be interpreted, explained, reworded, etc. Almost all the news broadcasts love to reword, interpret, cut, take out of context, not quote the entire sentence or paragraph, misquote or re-invent what he actually says.

    2. @Karen Pierce sorry I watch them too and that is my conclusion as an educated person that he is not. He constantly goes back on his word and keep switching up what he says. I’d love to read the transcript going through his head when he starts going on his rants and around the bush. Oh just FYI ignorant people like you bring me joy to mess with! LET’S HAVE FUN TOGETHER!!! 🤣👏🤣

    3. @Gregory Ho true it is sad people don’t let the cat have it’s way. And think for themselves. Sheepeople are going to make things WORST!

    1. @Liquid Steel
And nothing in that refuted anything I said. When Hamilton, mentioned therein a “true democracy” he was referring to DIRECT democracy without limitations on the will of the plebiscite If you want to play stupid word and definition games:

      de·moc·ra·cy
      /dəˈmäkrəsē/
      noun
a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives..

The PRINCIPLE underpinning democracy is that the people decide, as they do here – despite recent poor results. But that can be filtered through representatives and tempered by rules such as a constitution.

Democracy means “rule by the people” – the exact systems do not change that.

    2. you see.. giving up isn’t an option to me when the fight is justice & equality!

editz…if I can say.. arm yourself listen to the experiences of those who came before you that’s where I get my courage.. Oligarchy systemic system corporate owned politicians even more reason to fight right! complain to your Reps Council Police Sen Mayor Govnr.. like heaps a day.. maybe have a listen to Bernie he’s the closest thing to our Prime Minister Jacinda ya got 🇳🇿☮💕

so much unhappiness we want better for y’all.. 👋😷be kind keep safe thanks for enlightening me & keeping it realz!

    3. @3Xcollasso
You proved autumn’s point. You have made it reasonably clear that you are the sort ready to throw up your hands and bow out if you cant get everything you want! We have trouble getting much more than 50% to show up even for BIG elections – never mind primaries, local elections, midterms, etc.

You are ONE person – as am I – what you can do is be ONE more person in the fight! What might you say to a guy on D-Day who said, “I’m just one guy – why should I go fight?” If everyone thought like that, the Nazis would still rule Europe.

You, like me, wish you had the power, that your vote gave you the power to make everything the way you want – but it doesn’t. It gives you the power to help move things more in the direction you want – that is all. Be happy to have that power and use it wisely, and not waste it in a Quixotic disaster.

    4. @k s so, after the Senate passed the stimulus 96-0 and the House didn’t act for 3 days, Pelosi had nothing to do with it?
Much easier to just call names and hurl accusations, isn’t it?

  4. 3:59 “We have done a job like no one has ever seen.” True. I have NEVER seen a leader be so incompetent, so self serving, so lacking of empathy in my life.

    1. 2nd of feb, top New York woman official said the rick of Corona virus is low, telling people to go on the subway and the bus’s and go to the parade. 2nd of march less than a month ago, Bill De Blasio said I’m encouraging New Yorkers to go on with their lives, go out on the town despite the Corona virus. and you talk about Trump

    2. @John Gray MS GREY If enough people can unite as i try. This admistration as you see is just starting to change its course. The truths like me and millions especially the news media are pushing to save lives.

  5. “We have done a job the likes of which nobody’s seen”.

Probably the first truth to come out of that mouth.

  6. Look at Capitalism; In crisis you’re forced to bid against your allies. The older I’ve gotten the more I’ve realized this world is a joke.

    1. @Steve Zidzik Been following UBI for about 10 years. I believe it will have to become the standard. I also believe that is is paramount to teach the general public how stocks and investments are used, as dividends will become the only auxiliary source of income, and the only way for upward mobility.

    2. @badchefi NZ is not comparable, remember nz has the best border wall on the planet we have complete control of immigration. also both of our right and left political parties are fairly competent as well.

    3. you wanna know what’s a joke? the fact that y’all still want socialism even though it’s been tried over 100 times in 100 countries and STILL failed even though people flee socialist / communist regimes to come HERE.

    1. yeah, you know you’re country is messed up when they said that after the president has announced stuff.

    1. @Izzi Michaels He cant be brought like the rest of the politicians and he wont be bullied so in my book that make him a great leader this man got more done in two weeks then any country thats dealing with this crisis and i bet he will get reelected

    2. @DeeRock you do realize the USA leads the world in corona virus cases? i really dont know how you continue to believe thats a good thing.

  7. WHEN HE SAID “BACK IN THE REAL WORLD” lol I’m sorry that was funny cause Trump I dunno where tf he lives
