  1. What benefit is it to announce that you are declaring combat mission over? In war you never give your enemy any information.

  2. New terms:
    War- “Special military operation”
Surrender: “Completed combat mission and being evacuated to the enemy”

    1. They were “evacuated” to the Siberian Gulag in buses marked with the letter Z 😁😂

  3. Their situation was untenable, they were outnumbered, outgunned, and probably low on every thing you can imagine. This is the second best outcome available. Losing a battalion of veteran combat troops is a terrible and irreplaceable loss. Glad they made it out, even if it means Russia occupies Mariupol.

    1. @Isaiah Kyuga Isaiah, they tied up ten thousand russian troops for 2 months — troops which were not available to fight with the invaders heading for Odesa or Dnipro. They bought the entire Ukraine military vital time to train and to obtain weaponry and to hold other places. They will be in history books along with the defenders of the Alamo, Sparta, and other such courageous last stands.

  4. CNN and BBC should celebrate this as win of ukraine as they have mercifully evacuated Azov region by considering the well being of Russian troops !!!!!

    1. @Tom Brady as omar bradley once said a solider can go weeks without foody days without water but only 5 mins without ammo

    1. @Dusty Scrolls look at his comments, all raging about “neo nazis using human shields” 😂 Ivan can’t cope he’s losing a war they thought would be over in days

    2. @Dusty Scrolls Fought probably in an illegal way, aka using civilian objects as cover.
Wheverver Urkaine defends its cities, they get decimated.
Meanwhile when they dont defend cities like Melitopol, Russians come in, put up flags and move on, life goes on like normal compared to the death and suffering in heavily ,,defended,, areas.

  5. “Special evacuation operation”. Kinda like claims of “strategic counterattacks” in the opposite direction

  6. 6th army of Paulus completed combat mission and was evacuated from Stalingrad, mostly peaceful.

    1. This up is down, black is whit is so confusing. Why couldn’t the Americans evacuate their people from Afghanistan and Iraq instead of surrendering? 🙂

    1. Its the 10th largest city in Ukraine and it took almost 3 months to capture. the entire war was supposed to be over in 3 days

  7. The wounded soldiers were transported out of Mariupol, as sick patiens, and taken for treatment at a civilian hospital, on the nearby Donesk region, for urgent critical treatment on fifty of them..

  8. *Russia: “Some Azov neo-nazis came out with white flags, requested to accept their surrender, because their injured are rotting alive, they are running out of everything, and they don’t want to die.”*
*CNN: “Heroic Azov heroes have heroically achieved their heroic objectives and are heroically following their commander-in-chief’s heroic orders to heroically be evacuated”! Yay Azov!*

  9. Doesn’t make sense to say “Combat mission over” They have been making videos begging for EVAC since the beginning. Hardly what you do mid mission. Kinda like Russia saying today we decided mission over in Black Sea for Moskva.

  10. It`s very strange to hear about order “to save the lives of their personnel” from Zelenskiy, when 2.500 Ukrainian soldiers remained from 25.000 in Mariupol.
    They lost 90% of soldiers.
They are capitulate now, it`s not a special evacuation operation by Ukraine.
