A wave of Russian missiles and drones swept across Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities Thursday, killing at least six people and knocking out power to hundreds of thousands in one of the biggest attacks on the besieged country this year.

At seven people were injured, authorities in the regions of Kyiv, Lyiv and Dnipropetrovsk said on their Telegram channels. Sites in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zhytomyr and Kirovohrad were also struck. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described "a difficult night" as the barrage hit critical infrastructure facilities.

Russia launched 81 missiles and eight exploding Shahed drones, Ukraine military officials said. Thirty-four cruise missiles and four drones were intercepted, they said.

  1. In reality Zelenskyy is the gift that keeps giving for the Russians. Ukraine already lost most trained and motivated soldiers along with almost all hardware it had before the war plus hundreds of tanks and IFVs it got from Eastern Europe (to understand the scale of losses it had 1 990 tanks, 1 212 IFVs, 1 112 heavy artillery systems, 354 multiple rocket launchers). Its army is a shadow of its former self at the beginning of the war. Mass summary executions for attempted surrender or unauthorized retreat just cause further demoralization and despair. Bakhmut is just the last instance of this insane tactic . Russians have 1:6 advantage in artillery according to WaPo of all places. 85% of Ukrainian soldiers are killed even without seeing an enemy. WSJ is quoting Ukrainian commander in Bakhmut as saying: “So far body count “exchange rate” is strongly in favor of the Russians . If we carry on like this, we will rapidly burn through all our conscription resources.”

  2. ~The war against Russian aggression has been going on in Europe for 9 years. The victory of the Western countries and Ukraine against Russia’s aggression is its fulfillment of 5 (five) requirements in full: 1) Reimbursement to the Western countries of the costs of assistance to the victim of aggression-Ukraine. 2) Ensure the capture of all Russian war criminals (more than 40,000 suspects); 3) compensation for all victims of the war (hundreds of thousands killed); 4) financing the full restoration of the victim of aggression – Ukraine; 5) Exclusion of the global threat from the terrorist Russia (its demilitarization and deimperialization). All this is possible only in the case of the complete unconditional SURRENDER of the terrorist of Russia, as it was with Hitler’s Germany. The refusal of Western countries to win (from the surrender of Russia) will plunge the World into chaos — on the example of Russia, endless wars and crises.Impunity breeds new crimes. The disappearance of Putin’s aggressive Russia benefits everyone. In Russia, Russians have enough money and resources for everything and for everyone.~

  3. Everything is fine! Ukraine as always managed to down 100% of the missiles using Ukrainian weapons depots and power stations. Tell us about the ghost of Kiev or that Russia ran out of missiles for a change. 😂😂😂

  4. Those are some nice flying ‘shovels’ Russia is using to strike the desired targets.

  5. The single most destructive bombing raid in human history. The March 9/10 1945 fire bombing of Tokyo. (Operation Meetinghouse) An estimated 100,000 civilians killed.

  6. We can see now the Western alliance with a bunch of leaders without courage to take on Russian Putin. A word for it !

  7. Wait they said they ran out of missiles? Also they have an army of grandmas armed with pickle jars taking down fighter planes along with the ghost of kiev. How could this be

  8. You act like Russia woke up and sent missiles just because. The conflict had been going on for over a year. the Ukrainian people have had a year to talk peace.
