Huge respect to First Lady Jill Biden for going to Ukraine and meeting with Olena Zelensky. The Ukrainians are amazing people, they are so strong despite all the hardship they have been through. It’s an honor to support them in their fight for freedom, it’s well deserved and moving to see how much respect is being shown by our leaders to our remarkable Ukrainian allies. Ukraine will win this war but it won’t just be a victory against Russia, it will be a win against the forces of tyranny.

I think the First Lady was probably in on the planning of this. To meet Ukraine’s First Lady on Mother’s Day in Ukraine was, I’m sure, a heartfelt move. It was woman to woman, I feel your pain, we are all here for you. Women can bring a dimension to war that is remarkable. It shows how we can feel compassion for one another. It’s the light touch.
