Ukrainians are staying in Kyiv despite Putin’s warning. Here’s why

Russia launched a barrage of missile strikes at Ukrainian cities as it ramped up its attacks on infrastructure facilities across the country. Despite the attacks and Putin's warning of more airstrikes, Ukrainians who spoke with CNN's Nic Robertson say they plan on staying and are "ready for this."

    1. @saberint sorry to say it this bluntly but this is just wat happens wen u dont get along. Especially with Russia. Like come on have u seen them why would u not want that place protecting u lol! Defintley not happy about Ukraine but they just as stubborn as Russia with even more to lose. Hows that winning wen ur going to freeze all winter

    2. @Kuksha well too bad. A soldier who defends his home, children, loved one, parents, is significantly stronger than some Russian drunken who went to a war for money. Ukraine will absolutely win. I know you. You’re a Kremlin’s agent, clearly. I saw your comments in a few other videos. It’s always the same: Russia will win. Bad news for you. Democracy will win. America won’t let Ukraine down.

    3. @bush lee well, thanks to global warming the last 2 winters have only been around -10, so not bad at all. As for getting along… Well, it wasn’t Ukraine that invaded. It wasn’t Ukraine who invaded 8 years ago. You simply don’t get along with Russians… Ask any eastern bloc country. Individual Russians yes, I’m not anti Russian in that way, but how far back do you have to go before you get to a leader that didn’t invade someone?

    4. @saberint all countrys have invaded. Ive been interested in Russia my whole life. They dont scare me and i see them as family. U are too and seeing Ukraine fight back is like a small todler fighting his dad. Russia is a great country, the biggest, 2nd strongest military. They used the chechens like a pawn. If they see u are people and ur nice to them they by law of humanity will respond the same. This is a war of propaganda and greed. No sharing leads to even more being lost. Russia has tasty period but i dont have teremok. Wtf is that

  1. I can’t fail to notice that Mr Putin was smiling when he said more was to come..but Mr Putin cannot understand how determined the Ukrainians are in resisting Russian inhumane missile strikes against them..thank you CNN for your report.

    1. wouldn’t it be absolutely wonderful , while he is waiting for his missles to strike civilians , that the ukraine bombs russia at the same time. putin is so sure of himself , maybe ukraine will hack into his power grid and shut him completely down , and leave him defenceless , he can’t have much in the way of weapons left , as his troops that fled the battlefield left so much equipment and arms behind for the ukrainians. maybe the ukrainian army could buzz his palace on the mountainside , and completely destroy it while his attention is devoted to the bombing of innocent civilians and infastructure in kieve. never underestimate these ukrainian people , they are very resourceful , as vlatimir has learned , that’s why he very inhumanely looks for the easiest targets , that’s all he’s got , cause he sucks on the battlefield , i don’t blame russian soldiers running away in fear , their leader is not very good with wars , down right embarrassing.

    2. These citizens are foolish, the attack of North Stream and the Crimea Bridge changed anything, at this trend when this war end Kiev will be in rubble move, live now before it’s too late.

    3. @Darkpenguin 197 Nice Russian fantasy for you I guess.Maybe all of the Russian infiltrators and military should leave before it is to late.Russia will never win because Putin is nothing but an idiotic old Soviet relic who has no place in this world.

    1. Yep. Trump told 30,487 documented lies in office. He finally told The Big Lie and incited an Insurrection Against America. Against his own country.

    2. @Dave Cuddahy “they should do something about it then and remove the autocrats from power”
You are underestimating autocracy. Go read 1984 and then tell me how Winston was going to start a revolution

    1. @Dominic Cornwall no one said that and Russia is weak mode on Ukraine, Ukraine without Nato would have surrendered in first days

    2. These citizens are foolish, the attack of North Stream and the Crimea Bridge changed anything, at this trend when this war end Kiev will be in rubble move, live now before it’s too late.

  2. Ukrainians: “The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and before this battle was over, even a so called superpower can bleed.”
    Slava Ukraini!! 🇺🇦 🇺🇲

    1. @MeriLizzie As for the provocation in Bucha, so far for Russia (which made a request through the UN), west has not provided either a list of names of victims or materials on this crime. You in the West (with the help of the Ukrainian Nazis) staged a wonderful staged performance, convincing everyone that the world needs widespread Russophobia, but I know one thing: the power is in the truth, and the truth always wins, because whoever has the truth, the Lord is always behind them.

Did the FSB kill Daria Dugina? Mr. Dugin is a Russian patriot and nationalist (in a good sense of the word), he always very clearly expresses his opinion about what the satanic essence of the Western world is, why Ukraine is needed (as an expendable material) for the United States and what Russia is fighting for in the modern world. He is a very uncomfortable figure, because he is a thinker and a philosopher who knows how to “put everything on the shelves”! Western Satanists (through Ukrainian terrorists) have struck at the most important thing in every person’s life – the murder of his child!

Ukraine is a terrorist state! Explosives for the terrorist attack on the bridge were delivered by transport from the grain deal from the territory of Ukraine, first to Bulgaria, and then to Georgia and already to Russia

    3. @MeriLizzie Ukraine will not only not blow up any ships (especially since grain-carrying ships are not Ukrainian), but also kills its former citizens every day on the country’s in the east, constantly shelling peaceful villages and especially the city of Donetsk (they are shelling every day, where people die every day). Therefore, Ukraine, for the sake of provocation and operation “under a false flag”, can easily send any vessel to the bottom in this grain deal. The fact that Ukraine is shelling the Zaporozhye NPP without thinking about the consequences suggests that Zelensky, a cocaine addict, is not limited in anything, because he understands that Western media and financial resources are behind him!

  3. May God keep the Ukrainian people safe & the soldiers in the front line can win the war as soon as possible… Glory to Ukrainian 🙏

    1. Putin was neglected by his parents and spent time alone all day traumatized by rats. Explains his actions today.

    1. He probably tortured his family pets including his turtle growing up, leading him to search out more and more creatures to torture, until he finally settled on humans. One day we’ll likely know more about this horrible little man and no surprise it won’t be good.

    2. He’s really dragging the name of his country thru the mud for the next 100 years. I guess Germany is now off the hook.

    3. @Kathryn Carlstrom One thing we already knew about him was that he not only survived membership in the KGB he rose thru the ranks. That spells “monster”

    4. @havable Yes, but would the real V. PUTIN please step forward …If I was one of his body doubles, I might be tempted to rid the world of one less V. Putin…

    1. Not throwing shade on the Ukrainian ppl at all. But this is one of the last places on the internet I’ve seen where ppl still buy into the warmongering propaganda bs of the US.

This war was never about Ukrainian citizens or their freedoms and rights. This is a power struggle between the USA and Russia and Ukrainians have to die for it.

In fact Ukrainians are forced to die for US geopolitical interests. Men of fighting age are not allowed to leave the country.

This war is a huge tragedy that could have been prevented but the USA chose to actively provoke it because that serves its interest. And now they are dressing it up as this heroic struggle between ‘good’ and ‘evil’. This is not true. It’s not been true when the US lied about the hundreds of other other atrocious wars and conflicts they have waged over the last decades and it’s not true now either.

I urge you to please think a little bit and try to see through this blatant propaganda

    1. @GT500
You will be bad surprised ruSSian troll.
Ukrainians will fight to the end, to the end of ruSSia
And I and my family will support them to the end of ruSSia.

      Greetings from Poland

      Putler na pohybel !

  4. Ukrainian heroism is making history while russian monster will inevitably go down. Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦!

  5. Ukraine deserves to have those long range HIMARS missiles, the sooner the better, but they’ve got to have a much better air defense capability before they engage Russia in an all out missile war.

    1. Why did Liz Truss said IT IS DONE to Blinken about the Nord Stream bombing? I heard her phone was hacked and that’s why the UK government needs to fly to Washington for reporting.

    2. @Tea Not even if Putin nukes them will he break them. All nuking them would do is make them determined to sack Moscow and string Putin’s nutsack across Siberia. Nobody arming Ukraine would object to Ukraine invading Russia if Russia nuked Ukraine. And given how *utterly worthless* the Red Army has become because of oligarch corruption, Russia would be literally defenseless.

    3. Considering that 50% of Ukrainian nationals are ethnic Russians, you comment reflects on your ignorance

  6. It needs to be made perfectly clear to Africa, the Middle and Far East EXACTLY who is responsible for their lack of food going forward and the sole country responsible IS RUSSIA! We need to be sending this message EVERYWHERE and President Zelensky should call each of them and explain why their grain may not arrive!

    1. @Kuksha Don’t make me laugh. The Russian land is much harder to cultivate. Why else is Russia looting Ukrainian grain stores and taking all their grain?

    2. @Geoff Hatch You can see the statistics yourself.
In 2022, Russia ranks first in grain exports.
You can say that this is Ukrainian grain, but in 2021 Russia also took first place, and Ukraine was not even in the top five.

    3. 🥀🌺🌷@anne hersey, West is not lacking of food. We and our people are very very tired of WAR. We want to enjoy our life. We are the only country whose been doing this helping other country’s war for a long time. It’s time to “Retire”. We the people of U.S. are tired of this. Biden, you are very old now. Please let U.S. have Vacation for at least 10 years or forever.

    4. @Abraham Dozer No tx, India and Asian Countries have a Wheat surplus and we are supplying food to Egypt, Middle East. Let Europe deal with its own Mess …. NOT OUR WAR ! PERIOD !

  7. You have to admire a country that can stand up and fight back in such conditions. This shows how strong Ukrainians are. If they survive this war I see them coming out a much stronger country as a result.

    1. @Cristian Gaban I’m glad that you recognize that the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics are independent nations and not part of Ukraine since Ukraine committed 5,667 ceasefire violations with over 4,000 explosions according to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe four days before Russia launched it’s special military operation. So is Ukraine attacking independent nations or are they in the midst of a civil war?

    2. @D H You literally just posted nine comments of the same message and four of them to me in the span of a minute. Whoever your programer is needs to update your software because you look faker than the Ghost of Kiev.

  8. It’s praiseworthy the bravery and determination of the Ukrainian people and all nations supporting the price of FREEDOM ! The Aggressors high chiefs will never understand what Freedom is !…the world will support the difficulties and this will definitely unity all nations against the criminal minds…

  9. My respect to all the people of Ukraine. Every one of you are brave and your resolve to not be conquered is absolutely amazing. One day in the future I would like to visit your country and acknowledge your communities for their courage and as I know your country is not all about the cities and that your countryside is beautiful. I pray for all of you every day and I thank God for your president because I think he is an amazing leader and worthy of gratitude from all of us around the world and of course all the people of Ukraine. God bless you all.

    1. @ВОВОЧКА which ones, the 200k that ran away from Putin’s war? The rest will go through a meat grinder. Such foolhardiness!!

    3. @Michal Zajic You really should look up Iraq & Graphite bombs, Energy infrastructure is DUAL PURPOSE and has always been a VALID military target as are bridges. Iraq was without power and had blackouts for YEARS after it was invaded by the US.

  10. The courage strength and determination of the ukrainians is admirable. Keep up the good work and may God bless the Ukraine. From the United States.

  11. I’m in awe of the Ukrainians spirit they smile and joke with each other!
    Courage conquers, Slava Ukraine!
