Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said that states "all have more access" to government because "they have voting members of Congress" during a House hearing on D.C. city governance.

  1. He said “access” not “representation” so she didn’t answer his question. And the whole point of DC is that it doesn’t have representation in the government. If they wanted the capital to have representation, they would have just put it in Maryland or Virginia.
