Plenty of kids are home-schooled and they turn into fully functional adults with social skills. They even get accepted to Ivy League schools so don’t disparage homeschooling

1. Schools are about 6 weeks away from summer break.
2. The likelihood of economy opening fully in 6 weeks is rather very slim.
3. The urge to go back to work will be somewhat low, given that out of job folks besides getting unemployment benefits are getting $2600/month federal aid for up to 4 months.
@Jennifer McGoldrick I read you right. Totally agree with you. It’s quite complicated and no one seems to be doing any thinking on how to solve those issues. Their strategy seems to be to open things up and let the chips fall where they may. The US was slow to react to the pandemic and there’s a price to pay for that. Instead of biting the bullet and doing what it takes to make up for lost time, they’re looking for shortcuts, and only finding ill-conceived ones. Their focus is not to save lives, but rather how to save Trump’s reelection chances. That ship may have sailed, but they will still waste American lives trying.

Both are viruses, that are extremely difficult to vaccinate because they continually mutate. Flu deaths go up and down every year. Covid 20 (yes 20), may, be less virulent BUT may become the new Spanish flu. There are studies showing that Spanish Flu had already “done the rounds”, before mutating into the much deadlier version. We shall see…..
