They knock on doors wearing some kind of badge and they are usually someone familiar with the neighborhood. They are paid cash. Last year they caught a man in our area, that has been doing this scam for years. The man said it was good work for good money. In some states there is a number on each ballot and you can look on a computer to see that your ballot was entered. If, not you can report it missing.

@CONSTANTINE ANGEL GUTIERREZ I’m in a small city. If I need to, I can call the mayor, one of the ladies in the town hall, or even the police chief. It’s the kind of city where the local cops may not know all the kids names, but they know which kids belong to which parents. LOL! Our children are grown now but it’s still a wonderful place to raise children. Our previous police chief & mayor worked really hard to get the audible signal setup at the stoplight that crosses the interstate in the middle of town. I’m legally blind (retinal disease & optic nerve defect). There’s too much traffic for me to really ‘safely’ cross that road when relying on my hearing alone, so they had the state place an audible signal at the light. Since it was installed, kids, older people, & even young adults use it. Not too long ago it was upgraded. I’m told there is now a ‘stop/walk’ sign at each side in addition to the audible signal. If this year is like most, there are fewer ppl at the fire dept (which is where the polling takes place for our area) in the mornings. Most of us that vote early are elderly & young mothers. Our elementary school is a few blocks from the fire dept & there’s a large daycare center nearby too. Our youngest was in the ‘Mommy Morning’s Out’ program at the daycare when she was little. I was home w/our girls the last 15-18yrs they were growing up; hwr, I did work from home as a CMT (certified medical transcriptionist). The Mommy’s Morning program was designed to help socialize young children & give moms a break 1-2 days a week. This virus truly scares me. I worry about our neighbors; worry about the whole country, even the morons.👍🏼
Better yet drop off your ballot at your Board of Elections office or do early in-person vote there.
