    1. First, I’m not a Liberal. Second Jason Kennedy’s past is absolute proof he’s a bigot. He’s third class at best.

    2. @Pat Kaupp Look at the UCP’s speech writer, and some of their MLAs. In Canada, other Conservative governments are doing much better than the UCP are. The Conservative premiers in other provinces are more well liked, (according to the polls), than the so called ‘premier’ of Alberta is.

  1. So conservatives are complaining about the deficit and trudeau at every turn, but they want the federal gvmt to fix their continued messes with public services ! Absurd!

  2. the feds spend billion on masks and virus vaccine and research..hospitals all empty..? where is all.the cash going..

    1. Because the province is in trouble. Alberta pays the most for healthcare per capita and has some of the worst service. Highest paid doctors in the country. Perhaps it’s practical to find some efficiencies. The feds used to split the cost with the provinces 50-50. They only pay 22% now and the premiers would like it to be 35%. Not really a big ask when Trudeau is always saying he will do whatever it takes to keep Canadians safe.

    1. Punk Rachmaninoff I guess that 10% of Canada’s entire GDP coming from Oil & Gas doesn’t count towards the math you are doing?

  3. Jason Kenney shouldn’t be asking for anything because he’s just going to misappropriate it, after he keeps cutting health care for his rich corporate buddies! Just like he has with health care, he has done this song and dance with all of our money! 😡

  4. That’s what you get when you rely solely on one industry and at the same time you give the keys to the treasury to corporations.

    1. Alberta has the most diversified economy in Canada. Less than 25% is oil and gas. When a quarter of you economy starts to struggle it affects all other parts of that economy. This should be obvious. Raising taxes on the few corporations that are still in business is idiotic when what you need in new investment. Promising higher taxes is a disincentive. This should also be obvious.

    1. Is he supposed to ask a party that isn’t the government? Who would you suggest the premiers contact federally? The greens or the bloc or the NDP? That doesn’t make any sense now does it.

  5. Before this pandemic hit, this CONSERVATIVE premier spent more than the NDP premier did in the same amount of time. Kinda ridiculous that despite spending more, our tuition went up, and our healthcare was slashed. Kenny is a corrupt corporate politician who does nothing but pander to the rich and beg for help from the poor. 2023 can’t come any faster and I can’t wait to vote him out.

  6. Covid deniers and anti-maskers, we know you are very anxious and fatigued by all this.  You too can play a part in protecting vulnerable Canadians (immuno-compromised, seniors, etc.) by wearing a mask in public indoor spaces and social distancing.  Have some responsibility and consideration for others.

    1. Then let’s protect the vulnerable and brainwashed and stop punishing the healthy! If masks worked then we wouldn’t need vaccines and we’d have been wearing them every flu season for decades! Further, it’s not that we’re anti-vaxxers, this is a new vaccine with the capability of altering your DNA. NOBODy should be forced to inject anything that hasn’t been safety tested which NONE have been for over 32 years!

  7. All the oil in the world and a minuscule population: how can Albertans not be able to look after their own health?
The idea is ridiculous on its face.

    1. Because the oilsands are trying to be phased out? And when you try to take out the big guy you take many of the little guys with him, perhaps? idk, maybe I know nothing…

    2. Well I’d agree with you except for the fact that we aren’t being allowed to get the oil to market or build pipelines, or develop the resource. It’s like asking someone who is drowning why they don’t just yell for help with a lung full of water. Let’s not forget Kenny wasn’t the only premier asking for help

  8. Yet you can not get a Doctor and a nurse practitioner is nothing more than substandard health care. Taxpayers deserve better.

  9. Well, if they dispense with the convid BS, we could save billions on that alone. I’d rather have my tax $$$ back & choose my health care. Say NO to Big Pharma.
