  1. Santa likes cold. Cold causes shrinkage, makes chimney’s easier. But remember to leave hot chocolate out for him, not milk. He’s going to need it.

    1. I don’t think you understand how bad it’s going to get specifically for Canada. America is mostly focused on the severe wind chill /cold snap from this system. Canadians have to be aware of predicted rainfall into ice, then 10-15cm snowfall and crazy amount of wind. It may not be an exact science but being ready for these things really isn’t a lot of effort and will save you a lot of grief.

    2. @Mongo Blazingsaddles the fact that you used what they’re predicting for things near water amazes me. It’s water. It’s going to react differently

    3. @William probably because they are accurate to a certain point and everyone knows the weather is unpredictable even with today’s technology

  2. Apparently, we need to continue our increasing consumption patterns despite the fact that it’s bucketing snow. Now get out there & buy a bunch of stuff you don’t really need.

  3. It’s going to be bad for like, a day. We’ll be fine.
As long as the cities are prepared with the salt trucks, I think commute will be back to normal by Saturday.
Only concern are the airports. I think the wind is going to cause some cancelled flights.

  4. Last year I was supposed to spend Christmas at my parents place, but due to the lockdown the town had, I couldn’t go. This year, I’m supposed to go there but I’m stuck again but due to the weather this time. Sheesh. An eleven hour drive could take me 15 instead. Yikes.

  5. “Extreme cold and snow coming to Canada”
This is definitely a rare and unique situation for Canada. How on earth will we ever survive this?! 🙄

  6. I Remember when I was a kid it just be it’s winter its snowing maybe call it a blizzard. Now they basterdize everything and make it sound scary and not normal… IT’S WINTER!!!!
