The amount of times the weather network has predicted it wrong is unbelievable
I don’t think you understand how bad it’s going to get specifically for Canada. America is mostly focused on the severe wind chill /cold snap from this system. Canadians have to be aware of predicted rainfall into ice, then 10-15cm snowfall and crazy amount of wind. It may not be an exact science but being ready for these things really isn’t a lot of effort and will save you a lot of grief.

As long as the cities are prepared with the salt trucks, I think commute will be back to normal by Saturday.
Only concern are the airports. I think the wind is going to cause some cancelled flights.
Last year I was supposed to spend Christmas at my parents place, but due to the lockdown the town had, I couldn’t go. This year, I’m supposed to go there but I’m stuck again but due to the weather this time. Sheesh. An eleven hour drive could take me 15 instead. Yikes.
