@David Lewis Prior to the 2016 election, McConnell was informed that the Russians were interfering in our election process. He insisted that this not be made public. Why? It was helping Trump’s election chances. Now, he refuses to entertain a bill in the Senate that would assure that our elections would not be manipulated by foreign powers. Doesn’t sound like he cares about the American people’s right to an interference-free electoral process. So, yes, I consider that traitorous behavior by someone who is supposed to serve the interests of the American public.

Look up the definition. He DID collude with Russia! Because evidence was destroyed and a number of Trump campaign people involved took the Fifth, Mueller was unable to gather enough evidence for a criminal conspiracy charge. In my view, the collusion documented is more than enough to impeach even were there no obstruction acts. It plainly amounted to at least a tacit agreement between Trump and Russia, which is unpatriotic, a security threat, unethical, and therefore unacceptable–whether or not it rose to the level of any criminality, whether or not the office holder is Democrat or Republican. What Trump would have done if interviewed is lied, which would have got him into all kinds of legal hot water. Knowing this, his lawyers prevented him from being interviewed. Hope this helps foster better understanding of the situation!
