  1. The Democrats put so much pork in this stimulus bill you could have had your checks weeks ago if they hadn’t. Nancy Pelosi is giving 25 million dollars of your stimulus money to the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. That is money that could have fed your family.

    1. Mitch McConnell blocked Democrats’ coronavirus bill for 10 days — and the press covered for him.

We just witnessed one of the clearest examples of a profound structural advantage for the GOP. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) wasted ten precious days advancing a relief package laden with “poison pill” measures that according to the polls, were broadly opposed by Democrats, Republican and independents alike, and blocking provisions sponsored by Democrats that were popular across party lines.

The political press reported the substance of these disputes as they usually do: Briefly, in the 8th or 9th paragraph of print pieces, and without any acknowledgment that Democrats were fighting for stuff that both Democrats and Republicans wanted. There was far more focus on the legislative process and various political calculations, which is also typical.

As a result, those who just skimmed the headlines or caught a cable segment about the dispute would have had no idea what the parties were fighting over.

At best, they took away a narrative of a relief package hobbled by partisan gridlock. More commonly, blame for holding up the vitally needed bill fell on Democrats, with headlines like, “Emergency Economic Rescue Plan in Limbo as Democrats Block Action” (New York Times), “Democrats block coronavirus response in fear of 2008 redux” (CNN) and “Senate Democrats block Republicans’ coronavirus stimulus bill 2nd time around” (Yahoo News).

It’s hard to overstate how broadly the public supports what Democrats were trying to insert into the legislation.

Congressional negotiators and the White House wrangled over a large number of issues, but there were two significant sticking points. First, following the regime’s lead, Republicans wanted to give the White House discretion over distributing hundreds of billions in corporate bailouts, and vigorously opposed Democratic efforts to attach conditions to that relief which would, among other things, prevent executives from pocketing the funds or enriching their shareholders rather than taking care of their workers.

Trump’s claim that he would “be the oversight” for a huge amount of funding was clearly a non-starter. Meanwhile, most of the provisions Democrats fought for were recently proposed by Sen Elizabeth Warren, and Data for Progress conducted a survey to gauge public opinion about those measures. Other than barring bailed-out companies from buying back their stocks, which half of respondents didn’t understand well enough to form an opinion, they all proved to be extremely popular.

    2. I swear you people live on a different planet. Stop getting fed from the beaks of these quacks who thrive on divisive rhetoric and regurgitating it as facts. The truth is out there in black and white without the bullshit. Do some of the work and inform yourself.

    3. @STEVEN BRILL No benefit for Trump: The president, vice president, members of the Cabinet and members of Congress are barred from benefiting from the money carved out for corporations. That also extends to the “spouse, child, son-in-law or daughter-in-law.”

    1. Yes but they get theres in late December as they are old, nimble, smell like poopy diapers everytime ur in public with them and practically useless in the sector as we know it. Strong and fit individuals under 50 are who we need tonecoedite this money too as we will actually go out and spend it.

  2. So what about college students who are being claimed by their parents?? I have 19 yr old twins who moved back home. They cant work as they were sports officials..

    1. Tell them to find other purposeful jobs instead of being referees LOL I work in a grocery store and were hiring tons of ppl who are out of work. 🤦🏾‍♂️

  3. IN SAO PAULO BRAZIL THEY ARE BURYING THE DEAD BY CORONA VIRUS IN SHALLOW COVAS AND THE VIRUS WILL RETURN..

    1. You can get on the IRS website and set up a direct deposit account, if not they state that they will mail you a check but it could take awhile that way.

    1. I will. Bc if those corporations failed, none of their employees would’ve had jobs to go back to. Thanks for reminding me!

  4. What if you have a regular full time job and uber can you get money for uber even if your job is a essential business? And if they take the money away from people with back child support how does that help people that dont live with there kids and still have Bill’s to pay with no job because of covid19? I can smell roits…

    1. if your doing uber your gonna get the virus in your car and you , has anyone cough or sneeze in your car you better think,,, everybody has bill to pay we are all screwed so deal with , my favorite thing is when collection is calling asking where the money is , i say well “due to the coronavirus i am currently unavailable to make any payment ” people without job how do you expect us to make money and pay you ” collection hung up

  5. Book at China they are getting cured and they’re not getting no more cases as either they got the vaccine or they’re not telling us something

  6. So in other words low income as always don’t qualify for this🤣😂Of course its only mid to high class getting paid!!!!!

    1. If you file an 2018 tax last year and u haven’t file your 2019 tax yet, you still will received the $1200, it will be easier if you have direct deposit last year

  7. Has Trump been informed that the Democratic hoax has now claimed about 3,300 American lives? He may not know this, since he only watches fox News.

  8. 1200 $ after almost 3 months later since this Pandemic started is really not going to help a lot.. Example. My job did not lay me off but cut my hours significantly. So I can’t get the unemployment but I can’t pay my bills because of my hours being cut.

  9. A truly cruel slavish society where humans are considered machines with no emotions and are forced to serve this capitalist society.
No common man has seen a penny, and they won’t! This kind of give away infuriates the rich and big business! They will do all they can to get every penny of the TEN TRILLION DOLLARS! trump has pledged no oversight, no reporting, and no rude questions from reporters. Can anyone even pay their rent with $1200?

  10. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ABOUT GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE FOR THE HOMELESS??WILL WE STILL RECEIVE 🤔🥺😞

  11. Recite Rosary, Read Psalm 91, St.Michael’s prayer for protection..
