NBC’s Julia Ainsley joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss two whistleblowers saying they were told to downplay a Covid outbreak among migrant kids at Fort Bliss HHS shelter in Texas. Julia says that one of the whistleblowers, Arthur Pearlstein, told her in an exclusive interview that “the mental health problems were also rampant,” citing cases of depression and anxiety in the children at the shelter, who talked “more about how much they disliked the facility than the journeys they took as migrants to come to the United States.”

@Colorado IsME if it is the federal governments job to keep the border safe why is it that under trump the contractors approved to build the wall were caught hiring illegals to construct and were being armed to provide security on the us side for these company construction yards? I bet they were even letting them in during the day considering all the media showed groups of 20 or 30 people crossing together…funny before Trump boarder patrol would be busy at night a group of 3 to 5…u der Trump 20 to 30in the day?

All on video… was this like people Trump was paying $50 bucks to show up at his 2016 rallys?

If the government has a contract and underwear are back ordered several months, then an all points bulletin should be made and people will come forward with money and underwear, as much as the kids need. But that contractor needs to be fired. The money they are making from the federal government is outrageous outrageous

How are people trying to blame this on Trump ? The whistleblower is talking about the conditions of the migrant facility from April to June 2021 under Biden’s presidency.
