  1. What has befallen you was never meant to miss you. And what has missed you was never meant to befall you. The pens have been lifted and the ink has dried.

Say instead: “Qadar Allah Wama Sha’a Fa’al (Allah decreed and He does what He wills).” For saying: “If only (I did this or that)” opens the door to the Shaytan (Satan). Meaning, Shaytan will whisper to your heart and make you vulnerable to grief and fear, which is harmful to you and is of no benefit.

    1. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves except that it is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz) before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allah.

In order that you may not grieve at the things that you fail to get, nor rejoice over that which has been given to you. And Allah likes not prideful boasters.

Those (prideful boasters) who are misers and enjoin miserliness upon people. And whosoever turns away (from Allah’s Islamic Monotheism), then Allah is Rich (Free of all needs), Worthy of all praise. [Al-Hadeed 57:22-24]

And when harm touches man, he calls to Us (for help). Then when We have (rescued him from that harm and) changed it into a favour from Us, he says: “Only because of knowledge (that I possess) I obtained it.” Nay, it is only a trial, but most of them know not!

Verily, those before them said it, yet (all) that they had earned availed them not. [Az-Zumar 39:49-50]

He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! [Al-Humaza 104-9]

Say: “Are those who know equal to those who know not?” It is only the owners of understanding who will remember (i.e. get a lesson from Allah’s Signs and Verses). [Az-Zumar 39:9]
