But we’ve been represented by these politicians who don’t mind spreading fear and lies, and taking tax payers money and subsidizing enterprise and war and trade treaties that exploit other countries, and also ourselves because we are not the beneficiaries even.
I just don’t understand how you could vote for someone like Biden, and Kamala- their records, and all the billionaires standing behind them.
And now you all are a mob, and anything anyone says you call them a “Russian bot”, or “Putin troll” or “idiot, or “low IQ” –
But I just don’t know why you are attacking me? Don’t we all want to protect our rights? Don’t we all want to protect other people?
Why can’t I point out these scandals at the hands of our previous politicians without being threatened?

@Adam Geiger I’m not sure I can really argue about that as I’m a New Zealander, therefore I cannot vote in American elections. I certainly take an interest in the elections because of the power America has on the world stage. The power to act as a stabilising or destabilising presence, and American politics go a long way to shaping this.
From my own experiences, a lot of the problems can be traced back to partisanship that has become more and more commonplace over there. Neither set of politicians are willing to compromise and it has become a “them vs us” mentality, which does nothing to help the USA.
US politics has been ill for a while. Donald Trump isn’t an abberation from what I can see, he is the logical conclusion for a group of people who feel ignored. That however doesn’t absolve Trump for some of his decisions (the Woodward tapes in particular are bad).
However when you have the likes of Mitch McConnell coming out after Barack Obama’s inauguration saying “our aim is to make this president a one term president” instead of reshaping the party policies, when Ted Cruz sits up on Capitol Hill and reads “Green eggs and ham” for twenty three hours straight to shut down the federal government. An act which not only fails but results in damage to the US economy, you have a political system that is failing the US.
All of this only serves to antagonise the other side into returning to favour later on. It is schoolyard behaviour that serves no benefit to the wider country as a whole.

If the vaccine is determined to be safe, they would already have some on hand. If they wait until after clinical trials, they’ll have none on hand.
Nothing hidden, many governments have paid for likely candidate vaccines to be produced. I am guessing if the vaccine doesn’t work it’s probably at cost and if it works then at profit.
If the vaccine turns out to be effective they will be ahead by several months by having manufacturered ahead of time. If it’s not safe or effective then they will destroy them. You can replace money (the goverment is backing their production) You cant replace time.
