Your Chance Of Getting COVID After Vaccination? 1 In 5,000 Or Less

As Republican Governor Ron DeSantis claims vaccination against the coronavirus does not impact others, MSNBC’s Ari Melber fact-checks him and explains how the virus is more contagious among the unvaccinated. As reported in The New York Times, new studies show vaccines are working even better than originally thought, and that the odds of getting the virus after vaccination are as low as 1 in 5,000.

    1. @kevdaag they make way more from the vax. Stop hoping that vaxing forever is good. Look around. Leftist never trusted big pharma. What gives?

    2. @Sandi Harris , not sure if you’re having a problem with autocorrect or if you simply cannot articulate a cogent thought.
On the outside chance, that you had something to do I did act upon the one intelligible thing you said: I searched for “is Ivermectin antiviral” and immediately found this as the first result: “Ivermectin, which is not an anti-viral drug, is generally used to treat or prevent parasites in animals”
So it’s hard not to convince that you are sadly unintelligent. Try not to get yourself or your lived ones sick, Einstein.

    3. @LyingDogFace PonySoldier , also: political affiliation had less than zero to do with a rational decision to get the vaccine. A 6th or 7th grade level understanding of math would convince someone that it’s in their rational best interest.
Why do ardent trumpsters let they’re feelings for him degrade their ability to make rational decisions about what’s in there best interest?

    4. @Bryan he threw the kitchen sink at it I am going with that .. he should have only taken the ivermectin that way it could really be credited.

  1. Dr. Jha said it best imo: vaccinated people are worrying too much about COVID while the unvaccinated are not worrying enough

    1. @The Insane Shecklador Stupidity crosses every party line. You’re not special just because you vote for one or the other.

    2. The only people that should worry about covid is people with compromised immune systems. The vaccine only has immunity of about 6 months so the vaccine is kind of pointless and it is what’s creating all the variants.

    3. @Bryan How many of these deaths were because people already had compromised immune systems, meaning, how many of them would of died eventually from being obese etc

    4. @Duty Rover Indeed. 90% of all covid deaths were for people who had 4+ co-morbidities. Liberals hate admitting this.

    1. Who are the wizards at mind control central that convinced ardent leftists to go to the wall for big pharma?

    2. Just depends who’s authority you dismiss? There are doctors & there are doctors? Some l believe others l don’t!

    1. @Sandi Harris now silence mascline one.
1 Timothy 2:12 a woman is to learn in silence with ALL submission and I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over “no man”

  2. The problem for Beshear is he’s a Democrat that is undermined by a Republican dominated legislature & conservative state judges that reverse any safety measure he tries to initiate.

  3. Man, I’m 100% pro-vaccine, but that 1:5,000 odds of vaccinated infection number doesn’t mean anything unless you’re also going to tell us the odds of unvaccinated infection amongst similar people. At a time when our country is suffering incalculable damage from dis and mis information, you’ve got to paint the whole picture or else you’re going to get labeled as a propagandist and the people who most need to hear your message won’t read past the headline.

    1. I agree. 1 in 5000 would be 200 in 1 million chance of the vaccinated catching Covid, if my math serves me right. If you look at Israel, Iceland, Greece and other countries where their health agencies aren’t contorlled by big pharma, and they tell the truth, 95% of the Covid hospital patients are fully vaccinated. They also use the same identical mrna gene therapy shots.

    2. @handsoffmygun MF Wow, that’s literally incredible! Where have you found data that says that Isreal, Iceland, and Greece all have 95% fully vaccinated hospitalizations?

  4. Just a note: I must be one of the one in 5000 fully vaccinated (64yrs young) who tested positive for the corona virus. I received a home test kit from my (Kaiser) health provider, in august, following a for me horrendous bout with “flu like” symptoms unlike any common/cold/flu I’d ever experienced. As a stay in home except for masked trips to the market, where did I get the Covid? My 75 yr old roommate first came down with the symptoms (although he didn’t choose to get tested following recovery: he frequents a gym, but has since canceled. so People, its out there waiting. What if I hadn’t been vaccinated? Is all I have to say.

    1. @Dima Kapel Only sinister if you don’t understand why the variants are developing. Actually, almost all our current problems can be explained by the actions of seriously ignorant people who think they aren’t. Dunning-Kruger effect strikes again!

  5. Desantis has never heard what herd immunity is, or why we don’t really have measles, mumps, or polio anymore.

  6. how does this stat work? if you’re vaccinated and get covid, but don’t have symptoms, you’re not getting tested… right?

  7. I expect to see an SNL parody of this guy in the near future. The endless references to rap and hip-hop artists is ridiculous.

  8. Imagine wearing a mask once you enter a restaurant to protect yourself from a virus so deadly that you have to take a test to know if you have it…

And then removing it 30 seconds later once you’re seated… because Science!

  9. Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick
From the virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.
    Sounds legit.

  10. Help me figure this out. If the vaccine works so well, then why do the OBEDIENT LITTLE SHEEP even care that you and I get it?…..And if the vaccine doesn’t work, then why are the OBEDIENT LITTLE SHEEP insisting that you and I get it too? This makes no sense……..Unless, of course, they feel foolish for making such a stupid mistake, and they want you and I to make the same mistake in order to make them feel better about their own stupidity.
