Ukraine has repeatedly pressed the West for more powerful weapons against Russia’s campaign in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, where Moscow’s forces are laboring to dislodge the last Ukrainian troops in the battered port city of Mariupol.

Blinken and Austin told Zelenskyy and his advisers that the United States would provide an additional $300 million in foreign military financing and had approved a $165 million sale of ammunition. Blinken said American diplomats who left Ukraine before the war would start returning to the country as soon as this week.

  1. The results of the forensic examination (not by the Russian side) of the bodies in Bucha showed that the bulk of the dead died as a result of being hit by flechettes, which are metal arrowhead fragments used in artillery shells. Initially, they were used in aviation, but now they remain exclusively in the arms of artillery units.

Such shells, in particular, are used in the range of ammunition of 122 mm howitzers of the D-30 type. At the beginning of the special operation, the AFU had 350 howitzers of this type. At the same time, this ammunition is not used in the Russian troops as part of the regular ammunition. This type of howitzers is also not used, which has been replaced by the Msta-B, where a completely different caliber of shells is used. Thus, everything points to the fact that the victims among the civilian population of Bucha took place as a result of artillery shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and not the executions allegedly staged by the Russian military.

  2. All I’ve heard for weeks is that the Ukraine capital is under siege.
Then top US diplomats, not one but two, are meeting and smiling doing a video. What? Does anyone else see a problem here?
